PIAGET POLO WATCH FEATURED IN HIT HOLLYWOOD FILM BROOKLYN’S FINEST

Piaget is proud to be featured in one of 2010’s most talked-about blockbuster films, Brooklyn’s Finest, which made its nationwide debut on March 5th, 2010. The captivating crime drama, directed by Training Day’s Antoine Fuqua, and featuring Hollywood heavyweights Richard Gere, Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke and Wesley Snipes, follows the vastly different lives of three streetwise Brooklyn cops who unexpectedly wind up in the same rough Brooklyn precinct. In one moving scene, Richard Gere’s character, Eddie, is presented with a specially designed, engraved Piaget Polo yellow gold watch from his special friend, Chantel, played by actress Shannon Kane. The watch is given to Eddie to commemorate his years of service in the police force, and to signify his personal achievement as a true hero. The watch model specially featured, the Piaget Polo, has long been recognized as one of the brand’s most iconic timepieces. Piaget recently launched the newest edition of the collection, the Piaget Polo FortyFive, a sporty take on the classic Polo model, which has gained extraordinary popularity amongst Hollywood elite, including Jeremy Renner, Aaron Eckhart, Jon Hamm and Jeffrey Donovan.

TAYLOR MOMSEN WEARS PIAGET IN HER MUSIC VIDEO

“MAKE ME WANNA DIE” Los Angeles, CA (April 26th, 2010) PIAGET, one of the world’s most prestigious watchmaker and jeweler, provided various pieces for The Pretty Reckless’ debut music video “Make Me Wanna Die” from their upcoming debut album. “Make Me Wanna Die” introduces The Pretty Reckless to the world. In the video, lead singer Taylor Momsen finds herself in the middle of a chaotic, cold and mysterious New York City after leaving a performance. The 18-carat yellow gold Piaget Polo watch and new Possession Celebration rings adorn Momsen during the video. Multiple other Possession rings and necklaces as well as the Piaget Polo watch, one of

Piaget’s iconic timepiece, accentuate Momsen’s rock-star look and help define her glamorous yet edgy appeal. “Make Me Wanna Die” will be available on broadcast and on-line outlets in early May. The Pretty Reckless will be joining US rock music festivals-- The Warp Tour in 2010-- and plans to release their debut album in Summer 2010. It is almost like a treasure hunt, or a riddle with many answers… The first clue is a queen. The second clue is an international star. The third clue is a world-famous sports figure. And the key to it all is the secret they share. The answer is a ring: “Possession.”

That is probably also why Piaget cultivates an air of mystery surrounding it. OKALYS-CORUM

wins the first place

at Genève-Rolle-Genève

28 minutes ! This was the lead-time of OKALYS-CORUM team on its nearest rival Zoulou when crossing the finishing line of this year’s Genève-Rolle-Genève Race. At the helm was LoïckPeyron, the new ambassador of the watch making brand, ably assisted by Nicolas Grange, the owner of the boat, the D35. OKALYS-CORUM had skilfully mastered the inshore route and won first place in the challenge. At the end of the weekend, the OKALYS-CORUM team also secured third place in the general classification of the Julius Baer Challenge. The fourth regatta of the Julius Baer Challenge, Genève-Rolle-Genève is the seasons “classic” at which

hundreds of sailors assemble on many different boat classes. It is also the final try out before the famous Bol d’Or Mirabaud presented by Corum. Starting at 2pm on the lake around Yacht Club Geneva, on a sixty kilometre route, the GenèveRolle-Genève does not guarantee a daylight finish to the D35, except when the weather is excellent: the record is 2h 19min and dates from 1990. OKALYS-CORUM’s first place has boosted the belief and confidence of the team and points to a weekend filled with excitement. The much anticipated conclusion of Bol d’Or Mirabaud presented by Corum will take place on June 12th at 10am at the Yacht Club Geneva.

15 Ti-Bridge Tourbillon - Contemporary high horology Launched in 2009, the Ti-Bridge wrote a new chapter in the company’s history with the creation of a new line in Corum’s collection and the advent of the second in-house caliber. A completely different and resolutely contemporary spirit of the baguette movement, the taut lines of the CO007 were highlighted with a set of two titanium “cross bars”.

In 2010, CORUM exalts its wellestablished expertise in the field of exceptional movements by offering atourbillon version of this timepiece, the new caliber CO 022, created and developed by Corum. A real feat as it is a flying tourbillon; without upper bridge, the escapement beating at 21’600 vibrations per hour seems to be floating over the baguette movement.

Golden Bridge Tourbillon - 33 pieces paying tribute In 2010, Corum also celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of its extraordinary Golden Bridge. During its thirty year history, its immediately recognizable esthetical codes and fascinating baguette movement have made the Golden Bridge an emblem of CORUM, and an icon of high horology. To celebrate this anniversary in style,

the watchmakers of the brand have worked together for two years to create the caliber CO213, a masterwork in terms of micromechanics, housing 182 components on a tiny baguette measuring 33mm by 3mm. Combining traditional watchmaking and high-end materials they write a new chapter in an already rich watchmaking history.

Admiral’s Cup Deep Hull 48 An icon for the ocean’s depth Created in 1960, the Admiral’s Cup celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2010. With this eminently sporty timepiece CORUM has paid tribute to the ocean’s enthusiasts for half a century. As some of them also choose to explore the ocean’s depths, CORUM offers for the first time, the Admiral’s Cup Deep Hull 48, a version dedicated to diving.

The case of this latest novelty in the Admiral’s Cup collection – with its twelve-sided case, typical of the collection – features an impressive diameter of 48 mm. Crafted in titanium and easily recognizable thanks to its bold design, it offers a unidirectional and rotating bezel.

With her trademark suits and little black dresses, Coco Chanel created timeless designs that are still popular today. She herself became a much revered style icon known for her simple yet sophisticated outfits paired with great accessories, such as several strands of pearls. As Chanel once said,” luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury.” Her early years, however, were anything but glamorous. After her mother’s death, Chanel was put in an orphanage by her father who worked as a peddler. She was raised by nuns who taught her how to sew—a skill that would lead to her life’s work. Her nickname came from another occupation entirely. During her brief career as a singer, Chanel performed in clubs in Vichy and Moulins where she was called “Coco.” Some say that the name comes from one of the songs she used to sing, and Chanel herself said that it was a “shortened version of cocotte, the French word for ‘kept woman,” according to an article in The Atlantic. Around the age of 20, Chanel became involved with Etienne Balsan who offered to help her start a millinery business in Paris. The couple split on good terms, later on she was involved with a friend of him, Arthur “Boy” Capel. Both men were instrumental in Chanel’s first fashion venture. Opening her first shop on Paris’s Rue Cambon in 1910, Chanel started out selling hats. She later added stores in Deauville and Biarritz and began making clothes. Her first taste of clothing success came from a dress she fashioned out of an old jersey on a chilly day. In response to the many people who asked about where she got the dress, she offered to make one for them. “My fortune is built on that old jersey that I’d put on because it was cold in Deauville,” she once told

author Paul Morand. In the 1920s, Chanel took her thriving business to new heights. She launched her first perfume, Chanel No. 5, which was the first to feature a designer’s name. Perfume “is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory of fashion . . . that heralds your arrival and prolongs your

triumphant return to the fashion world. She first received scathing reviews from critics, but her feminine and easy-fitting designs soon won over shoppers around the world. Coco Chanel died on January 10, 1971, at her apartment in the Hotel Ritz. She never married, having once said “I never wanted to weigh

departure,” Chanel once explained. In 1925, she introduced the now legendary Chanel suit with collarless jacket and well-fitted skirt. Her designs were revolutionary for the time—borrowing elements of men’s wear and emphasizing comfort over the constraints of then-popular fashions. She helped women say good-bye to the days of corsets and other confining garments. Another 1920s revolutionary design was Chanel’s little black dress. She took a color once associated with mourning and showed just how chic it could be for eveningwear. In addition to fashion, Chanel was a popular figure in the Paris literary and artistic worlds. She designed costumes for the Ballets Russes and for Jean Cocteau’s play Orphée, and counted Cocteau and artist Pablo Picasso among her friends. The international economic depression of the 1930s had a negative impact on her company, but it was the outbreak of World War II that led Chanel to close her business. She closed the House of Chanel and dismissed all her workers. At the age of 70, Chanel made a

more heavily on a man than a bird.” Hundreds crowded together at the Church of the Madeleine to bid farewell to the fashion icon. In tribute, many of the mourners wore Chanel suits. Not satisfied with their line of haute couture and off-the-rack clothing, fashion accessories, perfumes and jewellery, the House of Chanel ventured into the watchmaking industry in 1987. The creative director of Chanel then was Jacques Helleu; the designer of Chanel’s first watch aptly names “Premiere”. There are presently twelve Premiere watches in the collection and each one is precious.

17

The House of Chanel continues to its quest to be in the top of fine jewellery watchmaking. Chanel once said, “I make fashion women can live in, breath in, feel comfortable in and look younger in.” The concept of her fashion was the antithesis of the concept of high fashion in the past. She was an inspirational person because she broke the traditional forms of women’s clothes, and she contributed to a change in women’s sense through her clothes.

Ulysse Nardin Presents: Moonstruck.

Seventeen years after the completion of the historical astronomical “Trilogy of Time” Ulysse Nardin has developed another revolutionary astronomical timepiece with the distinct DNA of Dr. Ludwig Oechslin. Dr. Ludwig Oechslin’s concept focused on the system of Sun, Earth and Moon, concentrating on the scientifically accurate depiction of the moon phase, and the global influence of lunar and solar gravitation, resulting in the ebb and flow of the tides. By combining the movement of two rotating discs in one display, the moon phase indication is so precise that more than 100,000 years will have to pass before it shows a full moon rather than a new moon (or vice versa).

21 Lady Diver Starry Night. The Lady Diver Starry Night shimmers in style and radiates substance for the captivating woman who always leads the way. The ever-mysterious je ne c’est quois: Some women simply have it. It’s never quite clear what the “it” is, but wherever this woman goes, something very captivating radiates from her, causing a reaction from those who cross her path of wanting more. She commands whatever space she exists in, is always the center of attention and is a natural-born leader. And, no matter how challenging the situation, this woman knows how to handle it with grace and sophistication. Ulysse Nardin celebrates her powerful presence with the Lady Diver Starry Night – a stellar, contemporary and transitional timepiece that drips with undeniable beauty. At the end of a busy day at work or play, the Lady Diver Starry Night woman welcomes the approaching evening.

As the moon appears on the distant horizon and cocktail hour nears, she knows full well that her trusted timepiece will transform into jewelry perfectly suitable for whatever adventures the night will bring. The Lady Diver Starry Night is the timepiece for any occasion. The Imperial St. Petersburg Collection with the Frigate Shtandart. The frigate Shtandart was the first ship of the Baltic fleet. It was commissioned under the decree of Peter the Great and on the order of the Governor Aleksandr Mshikov in 1703. It was built at the Olonetsky shipyard near Olonets under the supervision of a Dutch ship builder. The Shtandart served to open the new trading route from Russia to the Baltic sea and sailed under the flat of the Imperial Russian Navy till the October Revolution in 1917.

Ulysse Nardin pays homage to the Imperial Russian Navy with this timepiece featuring the Sthandart. The famous landmarks of Imperial St. Petersburg, the Isaac’s cathedral on the left and the Admirality on the right form the background of this exceptional cloisonné dial. Each enamel cloisonné dial is individually handmade by skilled artisans. Over 500mm of fine gold wire is needed to make the cloisons. Over 50 working hours and 26 baking processes are required to complete each cloisonné dial. The Shtandart is available in a limited edition of 30 pieces each in 18 ct rose gold and is part of The Imperial St. Petersburg, an elaborate multi-layer white translucent enamel Egg of the Tsars decorated with 4.25 carats of diamonds. The diamonds have been employed in creating some of the legendary symbols of St. Petersburg - the Admiralty Spire, the Rostral Columns, the Arch of the General Staff Building and the famous drawbridges that open at night to allow for passage of large vessels. Ulysse Nardin’s anchor serves to link the egg to the white marble base.

23 Jaquemarts Minute Repeater Circus Aventurine. Ulysse Nardin was one of the earliest manufacturers to fuel the rebirth of the minute repeater. The minute repeater was made even more unique through the inclusion of animated figures called Jaquemarts on the dial and to this day, Ulysse Nardin remains the only manufacture in the world to use Jaquemarts on the dial of its minute repeaters. Ulysse Nardin takes great pride in announcing an additional achievement in time-keeping art: the Circus Aventurine.

A richly animated circus scene decorates a genuine aventurine dial. Each of the six figures is hand-carved in 18 ct gold. When the minute repeater lever is activated, the monkey begins interfering in the ballgame of the clown; this movement indicates the hour chiming. The trainer with the whip reaches out to the tiger, indicating the quarters. The tiger stretches its paw, indicating the minutes. The bear bows in front of the ballet dancer while the chiming mechanism is activated.

CHRONOFIGHTER

TRIGGER RATTRAPANTE Enigmatic and classy, beautiful and mysterious, the Chronofighter Trigger Rattrapante is an automatic bi-compax chronograph whose movement features a Rattrapante mechanism. This “split-seconds” function makes it possible to read an intermediate time and compliments the basic chronograph functions of hours, minutes and seconds. Do be mislead by its discrete look. The aggressive and distinctive red colour highlights the Rattrapante function, with a slender red hand on the dial and with the related black and red control button on the case. The Trigger line is the third generation of time instruments which features the renowned and patented Graham-London lefthand co-axial fast-action control device which ensures ergonomic and precise handling of the watch. The Chronofighter Trigger Rattrapante also is of a refined design: The black PVD carbide case encloses a black galvanic dial with black indexes. At 12 o’clock he crescent shaped power reserve of 50 hours takes pride of place on the minutes and seconds counters. Both the spiral decoration of the minutes and seconds counters and the smoked flat sapphire glass on the case back reinforce the hypnotic power of this watch.

THE TIME WRITING MACHINE Seizing the essence of Time The most beautiful creations have the power to endure over Time, retaining their power to astonish and delight century after century. As only creative geniuses can, the Manufacture Jaquet Droz has never stopped striving to surprise, amaze and inspire dreams since its founding.

Time is the ultimate luxury, the one thing that humans most desire. It is the rarest of all luxuries, even if it seems to be the most easily shared. Fleeting and elusive, Time marches on at a pace governed by no man. Eternally fascinated, mesmerised, men have always made passionate attempts to find a way to suspend its flow. In vain! They have measured Time using a broad array of instruments – sun dials, water clocks, hourglasses, cumbersome clocks and slim pocket watches – devised by ingenious minds obsessed by a common desire to transcribe the passing moment and, since time cannot be stopped, at least to attest its existence.

29 Grande Seconde SW TITANIUM Creativity, lightness, improvements, homage to the number 8 as the symbol of the Manufacture‌ a host of words and ideas that fashioned the concept of the Grande Seconde SWTITANIUM. With its fluted bezel, its purebred design and its hollow horns, it clearly embodies passion for style and modernity. A perfect example of the fusion of tradition with the Avant-Garde spirit of the Manufacture, this wristwatch demonstrates all that Jaquet Droz stands for: love of design, perfection in every detail and mechanical excellence.

The company’s exceptional mastery of watchmaking secrets now extends to the use of an equally exceptional material: titanium. Ultralightweight, ultra-strong, this hightechnology metal has been selected as much for its technical qualities as for its aesthetic appeal.

The unique beauty of its grey-blue tint is enhanced by an alternately polished and brushed finish, and by its rubber molding. The carbon dial emphasizes the modernity of the Grande Seconde SWTITANIUM which is now 30% lighter than the original version. Its performance is highlighted by the Super-LumiNova on the markers and the tips of the hands; it adds a touch of glowing red to the dark beauty of the watch, which is entirely placed under the sign of the figure 8. Both an evolution and an aesthetic revolution, the Grande Seconde SWTITANIUM preserves all its watchmaking expertise: a double-barrel mechanical movement, a 68-hour power reserve and water-resistance to 5 bar (50 meters). Fitted with a rubber strap, the Grande Seconde SWTITANIUM advances the frontiers of time even further.

Introduces Groundbreaking

FULL HD 3D TECHNOLOGY On Sunday, 30/05/2010 in a grand ceremony at Conrad Hotel in Cairo and in the presence of a group of public figures and the owners of the electronics companies and representatives of the Egyptian press, BTC Electronics introduced its 2010 line of Panasonic VIERA televisions, including Full HD 3D television, for the Middle East featuring a screen size of 50-inchPlasma, in addition to the company’s new DMP-BDT300 3D Blu-ray player. Plasma technology offers a number of important advantages with respect to 3D, such as cross-talk reduction, crisp and clear high quality moving pictures, enhanced luminance efficiency and improved picture quality even when viewing 2D content. “Panasonic, the industry and technology leader in high definition televisions, is targetting a market share of 50 percent for large screen 3D TV by 2012, and 25 percent market share for over 37 inch televisions in the Middle East region” said Mariam Nassif / Director of Marketing «Panasonic BTC Electronics».

“Thanks to a large number of technological innovations, television has undergone a constant evolution over the years. While at the start, it was merely regarded as a means for reproducing images, its significance increased when connectivity with other audio visual devices was added.” said Mr. Ashraf Nassif, General Manager. “With the growing popularity of HD TVs and the availability of high quality content, TV was yet again taken to a new level. Now, with Full HD 3D technology, it has turned into a device that delivers an immersive viewing experience and literally moved into an era of the next dimension.” he added Panasonic now offers a line-up of Full HD 3D products that meet the demands of even the most discerning consumers. The new range of Full HD 3D-capable VIERA Plasma, and the fully-featured DMP-BDT300 3D Blu-ray player, bring a new era of immersive visual entertainment into consumers’ homes by creating a 3D experience that easily rivals the

best that can be seen in cinemas. To create the best possible 3D picture, Panasonic has developed new, faster screen phosphors coupled with its Full Time Full HD drive technology. The brain then combines the images and perceives them as 3D. ENVISAGE THE FUTURE FROM A NEW ANGLE Rado has been dedicated to the world of contemporary design and arts for the last years. The company has created the site radostar.com to give young creatives and international design students exposure as well as recognition by allowing them to publish and share work, not only to their peers but also to potential employers. Rado is partner of many design festivals around the world and created design prizes to support young talents. “The Rado Young Design Prize is conceived with the future of design in mind,” says Mr. Roland Streule, President of Rado. “We seek to actively promote exceptional talent in the field of contemporary design and to contribute in various ways to the education of tomorrow’s talents. As a watch brand focused on design, we want to celebrate materials and shapes still to be invented.”

41 The stamp of a visionary ideal

There is no force stronger than that of the imagination, the faithful corollary to experimentation. A dream opens a door to the reality of tomorrow, because everything that can be imagined is real. This thinking has pervaded Rado’s philosophy since the brand was founded in a post-war period that witnessed an entire generation’s fascination with a future synonymous with industrialization and scientific progress. Since that time, the brand has worked tirelessly to cement a vision: the creation of a revolutionary watch with a surface of purity and absolute perfection, capable of challenging the passing of time and withstanding wear and tear, thanks to its exemplary durability and strength. In pursuit of this vision, Rado designed the first watch made of hard metal in 1962. This model has since become a watch-making classic. In 1986 it pioneered the introduction of high-tech ceramic into watch-making. In 2004, it developed a high-tech diamond watch, whose hardness of 10,000 Vickers is equaled only by the natural diamond. By creating the hardest watch in the world, Rado has realized its original vision and taken an essential step along a path that will lead to further innovations.

Heir of the future

Rado’s pursuit of the ultimate and the timeless is characteristic of a brand that focuses above all on technological innovations. Instead of resting on its laurels and basing its identity on a heritage of tradition and know-how, Rado sets itself apart. Although it by no means ignores its past successes and high-points, the brand looks first and foremost to the future. In doing so, it perpetuates only one practice - that of constant research and innovation, daring and intuition. Relying on a pioneering philosophy which lies at the heart of its legend, Rado never ceases to explore new avenues, to invent new materials and to conceive extraordinary designs. From the development of its products, it also demonstrates an outstanding ability to see the future from a new angle. Among the first international brands to advertise in China, and, despite the ban on importing foreign watches, the first watch company to develop innovative communication projects in India, Rado has since participated in the extraordinary growth of these 21st century markets.

NEW ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN Rado, the pioneering Swiss watchmaker, has launched a series of unexpected images as part of its new worldwide advertising campaign. With an evolution from previous advertising material, the “Unlimited Spirit“ campaign defines the mindset that Rado always has. “If we can imagine it, we can make it. If we can make it, we will.” Rado has always called upon physicists, engineers and designers in a quest for the impossible. Since, each product is the result of a dream. Surrounded by a rather traditional industry, Rado›s «can do» attitude has seen it develop and innovate high-tech materials and even be the first Swiss watchmaker to break into Asia. A brand focused on the future. The current advertising campaign reflects our state of mind, innovative, dynamic, surprising with a daring touch of humor. The colorful array of images includes explosions or implosions, immersions or splashes of materials layered on our famous Rado black canvas. In this new campaign, few words are needed; the visuals are self explanatory as the product is the hero. UNLIMITED SPIRIT. RADO.

Rado Centrix Rado, the pioneering Swiss watchmaker, is proud to unveil the Centrix, a brand new collection. As the name suggests, the Centrix expresses the circle in its purest form. Classic and fluid, the authentic design and shape best embodies elegance with clarity. As pioneers of high-tech ceramics in the watch making industry, Rado has once again exploited its unrivalled knowledge in producing this timepiece. The tapered bracelet gently and sensually embraces the wrist. Highly flexible, it offers exquisite comfort and elegance to all who wear it. Choose from three different styles all with uncompromising luxury. The automatic is sleek with a silver finish and also comes in a jubilÊ version with eight single diamonds delicately set on the black polished dial, giving it a simple yet tasteful aura. A more refined version of the Centrix has a mother of pearl dial which is further adorned with a line of diamonds on its circled edge. Three steel colored hands and the date at 3 o’clock, all protected underneath the finely metallized edge to edge sapphire crystal. The new Centrix, cleverly simple. Swiss made. Unlimited Spirit. RADO.

PARSIFAL 20 years after its official launch, the iconic Parsifal collection has been born anew for BASELWORLD 2010! With its much-admired elegance and harmonious curves, Parsifal has a long-established identity all its own. Now, while remaining true to its time-honoured values, Parsifal is reinventing itself, with precision, rounded outlines and aesthetic refinement lending the collection a distinctly contemporary feel. The Parsifal collection takes its name from Wagner’s final opera: a mystical world of chivalry and spiritual quest. Parsifal once again shows RAYMOND WEIL’s deep attachment to its roots, and desire to preserve tradition as a source of inspiration – while, at the same time, refining the key design elements (the ‘godron décor’ to the bezel, curved outlines, and sophisticated bracelet) which have forged the powerful identity of this symbolic collection. The striking black dial, set off against a pink gold bezel, has Roman numerals underlining the timepiece’s depth and elegance. In line with the “Parsifal style” dating back 20 years, the new timepiece remains 41mm in diameter, complemented by a saddle-stitched, fullskin black alligator strap with double push-piece security. Discreet, refined subdials for the hours, minutes and seconds are ingeniously spaced around the dial, with the date-window delicately positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The mechanical movement, with automatic winding, has an ETA 2892/2 base with Dubois Dépraz 2010 chronograph module and 42hour power-reserve. There is a pushpiece at 2 o’clock to start and stop the chronograph; a second push-piece at 4 activates the back-to-zero function. The innovative contrast between the elegant curves, and the imposing chronograph and chunky pink gold, underlines the originality of this stunning timepiece. A subtle blend of style, tradition and refinement: that’s the new RAYMOND WEIL Parsifal.

GUCCI JEWELRY -

HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHTS AND VALUES

Founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, the timeless and sophisticated Gucci brand boasts a unique fashion heritage and a broad global appeal.

At the same time, speciallydesigned jewelry spaces were created in many Gucci stores which were adapted to the needs of the Fine Jewelry selling experience.

Having enjoyed long-lasting and worldwide success in clothing and leather goods, the brand was extended in the 1970’s with the introduction of Swiss-made timepieces; in 1997 Gucci launched its Italian-made jewelry collection in silver and two years later, in 1999, a Fine Jewelry collection was launched in 18kt gold.

DISTRIBUTION Gucci Fine Jewelry is currently distributed in all Gucci flagship stores and in most directlyoperated Gucci worldwide stores as well as in a select global network of authorized jewelers.

As Gucci jewelry grew in popularity and success, stand-alone jewelry stores opened in major cities in the world: in 2002 on the Via Condotti in Rome, in 2003 on the Via Tornabuoni in Florence, followed by Beverly HillsRodeo Drive in 2005 and on New York’s smart 5th Avenue in 2008.

Such controlled distribution serves to enhance and confirm the leading position of the Gucci brand in the luxury industry.

The Gucci jewelry collections extend across the full spectrum of rings, bracelets, earrings, cufflinks, necklaces and pendants in 18kt yellow, white or pink gold. Pieces are designed with or without diamonds and may be embellished with colored precious stones such as rubies or sapphires. Sterling silver is used for more urban or contemporary designs.

known mainly for his unbelievable speed and for his hair…(!) Afro Bob’s 21-year-old fellow flying Dutchman Martijn “Terminator” Scherpen may be just a youngster, but he’s a champion many times over—last year he was European Champion (Elite Men) and finished 4th in the UCI World Ranking after placing 2nd and 8th at UCI BMX Supercross events in Copenhagen and South Africa. The two Dutchman are joined on the Swatch ProTeam again this year by New Zealand’s Marc Willers, last year’s New Zealand National Champion and universally recognised as one of the World Tour circuit’s top riders. Finally, Swatch welcomes Australian rider Sam “Slamming Sam” Willoughby to the Swatch ProTeam. At 17, Sam had

already won the Junior World title (twice), and in his first year as an elite rider surprised everyone by winning the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup 2009. Good luck to Sam and the Swatch ProTeam — and to all the riders on the UCI BMX Supercross World Tour! Each World Tour competition begins with time trials. As Presenting Sponsor of the 2010 UCI BMX Supercross World Tour and Official Timekeeper and Data Handler, Swatch records each rider’s times with the aid of a transponder mounted on the bike. Of the starters, 64 riders advance to the second round of competition, where they compete in groups of eight; four riders then advance to the following round.

Timing is crucial, and races are often so close at the finish line that judges rely on Swatch photo-finish cameras to identify the winners. The 2010 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup kicks off this year on March 26th and 27th in Madrid, moves on to Copenhagen’s terrific venue on the 7th and 8th of May and from the 27th of July to the 1st of August to Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, for this year’s UCI BMX World Championships. World Cup events resume in Chula Vista on the 10th and 11th of September, October 8th and 9th at one of the most popular venues on the World Tour, in Roc d’Azur, Fréjus and winds up on the 15th and 16th October in Monaco.

Team Earth Collection Harrison Ford and Hamilton create new watches in support of Team Earth’s timely call to action on pressing environmental issues Biel, May 2010 – The new Hamilton Khaki Team Earth Collection, designed in collaboration with Harrison Ford, is geared toward supporting a Conservation International (CI) convened coalition called Team Earth. Created as a platform to address some of the most pressing environmental issues of our day, Team Earth is committed to catalyzing personal and collective action to protect the environment via the connective power of the worldwide web. Under the motto, “It’s time to DO”, a significant portion of the proceeds generated by the new watch will go toward Team Earth’s global call to address five key issues, beginning with climate change and moving on to water, food, health and waste.

To do MORE

«I am proud to serve Conservation International as a campaigner. The first collection we created together with Hamilton proved a success. And Hamilton, by supporting CI’s mission, is helping to achieve major conservation outcomes.»

Harrison Ford,

Board of Conservation International

The Team Earth initiative aims to inspire individuals everywhere to do more to protect the future of the planet and less to threaten it. Harrison Ford has been on the board of directors of CI for 18 years. The Hamilton Khaki Team Earth Collection is the second series of watches created in collaboration with the American actor to benefit the work of the organization. Launched in 2008, the Hamilton Khaki Conservation Collection was extremely popular and the funds raised were able to contribute to some major conservation breakthroughs driven by CI. These have included the protection of 36,000 hectares of critical coastal land in South Africa and 2.6 million

73

hectares in Namibia’s Sperrgebiet National Park, as well as the creation of important protected marine areas in Brazil and Equator. Harrison Ford explains, «I am proud to serve Conservation International as a campaigner. The first collection we created together with Hamilton proved a success. And Hamilton, by supporting CI›s mission, is helping to achieve major conservation outcomes.» Hamilton is looking forward to making a difference by supporting Team Earth’s efforts to encourage people everywhere to take care of their environment.

Less is more

Inspired by the Team Earth drive to encourage everyone to use less energy, the Hamilton Khaki Team Earth Collection contains simple design elements. Easily visible khaki-colored numbering stands out against the black background of the dial. Green and brown leather straps allude to the power of Nature, while a stainless steel alternative expresses durability. A Swiss-made automatic movement ETA 2824 and resistance to magnetic fields echo the theme of longevity and sustainability. The case back is closed, engraved with the words, “It’s time to DO”, and signed by Harrison Ford, a timely reminder to all wearers, all of the time.

Conservation International

Conservation International (CI) applies innovations in science, economics, policy and community participation to protect the Earth’s richest regions of plant and animal diversity. Founded in 1987, with headquarters in Washington, DC, CI works in more than 40 countries on four continents to help people find economic alternatives without harming their natural environments. www.conservation.org

TEAM EARTH

Announced in September of 2009, Team Earth couples the power of Conservation International’s cross-sector partnerships and the credibility of science with mechanisms to inspire and enable individual behavioural change. Uniting businesses, non-profits, scientists, educators, individuals and children around collective action, Team Earth focuses on five core issues: climate waste, water, food and health. “It’s like drawing in the sky” Leading acrobatic pilot, Nicolas Ivanoff, appreciates the ‘creativity’ involved in taking skill and technology to their limits For the sixth year running Hamilton is joining leading French aerobatic pilot, Nicolas Ivanoff, in the cockpit – at least in a partnership sense. Nicolas Ivanoff is an official Hamilton ambassador and is taking to the skies this season in a Hamilton-branded Edge 540 plane. Hamilton and Nicolas Ivanoff share a deep-rooted passion for flying. Nicolas took his first flying lesson when he was twenty – and the Hamilton brand was only in its twenties when pioneering pilots first started to use its watches and navigation instruments in 1919. Bringing Hamilton and Nicolas Ivanoff even closer together today is a mutual commitment to reach new heights with expertise, style and elegance. Committed to creating timepieces that have real, relevant functionality appreciated by pilots, Hamilton regularly calls on Nicolas’ expertise for product development. The brand is keen to integrate Nicolas› inputs, like the silent countdown of the Khaki GMT Air Race, ideal for use in noisy environments such as plane cockpits. Nicolas Ivanoff’s aerobatic career seems ironic when he puts it into the context of his childhood ambitions: “As a kid I dreamt of getting into motor racing but my mother didn’t want me to because she thought it was too dangerous!” Regularly reaching speeds of up to 450 kmph and encountering forces of up to 12 g, Nicolas was certainly determined to retain the element of excitement. Hamilton was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. Hamilton watches combine the American spirit with the unrivalled precision of the latest Swiss movements and technologies. Known for its innovative

75 design, Hamilton has a strong foothold in Hollywood, with products appearing in over 350 films. The brand also boasts a strong aeronautical heritage. Hamilton is a member of the Swatch group, the largest watch manufacturer and distributor in the world with 160 production sites in Switzerland. www.hamiltonwatch.com - www.twitter.com/hamiltonwatch - www.facebook.com/hamiltonwatch

Nicolas Ivanoff

Nicolas Ivanoff was born in Corsica on April 7, 1967. His entry into aerobatic flying was more or less accidental and came after he had spent many years working as a flying instructor. He flies for the French national team in addition to his participation in the Red Bull Air Races. Nicolas also still teaches at the famed flying school Corse Voltige in Ajaccio on the west coast of Corsica. www.nicolasivanoff.com

Hamilton RailRoad Right on track since 1892 Biel, February 2010 – The new Hamilton RailRoad series takes the American brand right back to its proud roots, to the end of the nineteenth century. That was the time when Hamilton earned the title of ‘The Watch of Railroad Accuracy’, by providing railroad staff and passengers across North America with accurate and reliable pocket watches. The designers of today’s Hamilton RailRoad wristwatches have transformed this proven heritage into contemporary chic. Connecting the past, present and future is an uncompromising commitment to precision to ensure that modern timekeeping stays on the rails. And just to ensure that no wearer loses track of time, a small magnifying glass takes pride of place on the crystal at 3 o’clock sharp. Hamilton RailRoad Midday Train A classical Hamilton pocket watch has symbolically shed its chains and wrapped itself around the wrist in the Hamilton RailRoad 38 mm.

91 EMPORIO ARMANI OROLOGI LAUNCHES CERAMICA Emporio Armani introduces its first full collection of Ceramica watches designed by Giorgio Armani. Ceramica, the Italian word for ceramic, refers to the strikingly polished and smooth material used in the manufacture of this exciting new range of watches.

A composite material derived from a combination of different elements exposed to extremely high temperatures and very high pressure, ceramic is considered a semi-precious material in the watch industry, valued primarily for its incredible strength, durability and its lustrous sheen.

Inspired by the graphic elegance of pure white and solid black, the new Ceramica watch collection typifies the perennially classic styling that is synonymous with Giorgio Armani. The Ceramica watches possess a simple glamour and are a joy to wear – pleasantly weighted on the wrist and delightful to touch. The range consists of two main case shapes: a perfectly contoured round case and a well proportioned rectangular case.

93 Created in 1967 by Nino Cerruti, CERRRUTI is famous for his luxurious materials and his know-how in cut. Historically linked to the weaving workshops opened by the Cerruti brothers in 1881 in Piedmont, Biella, the label boasts 120 years of Italian tradition, associated with the modernity and elegance of a typically Parisian fashion house. For its second watches collection, Cerruti 1881 continues to create fine pieces of craftsmanship to fit all types of men. The Spring Summer 2010 collection revolves around three very different but complementary themes: Pure Elegance, Classic Sport and Italian Chic.

The Pure Elegance theme blends perfectly with the traditions of elegance and modernity, trademarks of the Cerruti house. It guarantees to seduce the businessman as well as the fashion forward men with its classic retro look. The square or rectangular shaped dial gives a touch of authenticity while the use of steel for the case and rubber or leather for the bracelet keeps it up to date. Only two colours are used, brown and black to preserve simplicity that creates elegance. The second major theme of the collection, Classic Sport will easily seduce all casual men. Watches in this theme are highly functional; their slightly curved design has an elegant casual look. They are contemporary and adapted to the way of life of the working, active men. Round shaped, with a bigger dial and made of rough material (screws, rubber top rings...); these watches guarantee to last long and be able to brave everyday activities. The final theme of this Spring Summer 2010 collection is Italian Chic, true to Cerruti’s core values and origin. The refinement of watches belonging to this theme reflects the label’s DNA and insures to seduce the sharply suited men.

HB-2001.1

This strikingly handsome chronograph demonstrating first-class watch design comes in IP rose gold and black or in a steel case. It is an updated interpretation of the great classic HB-136 that has evolved towards a larger size with a correspondingly stronger character. Each feature has a purpose: the grooves in the bezel extending the applied hour markers on the dial, highlighted by the contrasting texture of the chapter ring. The seconds track is colored for visibility while the case guards the crown as well as the quartz movement. Equally well thought-out are the applied Arabic numerals and the date’s window offset to the lower right. Ready for action down to 10 ATM.

HB-1003

HB-2001.2

Today’s watch in the classic rectangular style is confidently white on black in an uncompromising polished steel case.

This iconic phantom-style watch radiates a fascinatingly dark presence in an IP blackened steel case, coated bezel and black textured dial, but when the lights go out the hands and hour markers light up. A discrete and very personal watch that will meet the most physically and socially demanding occasions. Designed with great attention to detail. Minutes inscribed on the bezel, dates window at 6 o’clock and a central hand keeping track of the seconds with the accuracy of a trustworthy quartz movement.

The studied design shows a lot of attention to detail: Roman numerals, alternating with hour markers, radiate in a geometric balance on a black dial finished in two textures. Either available on a steel bracelet with folding clasp or crocodile-pattern leather strap with pin buckle. Waterresistant to 3 ATM.

95 BOSS BLACK MEN’S WATCHES

Classic contemporary models

The round dial with Roman numerals has been the face of time for around 800 years; the rectangular case launched almost a century ago made the new-fangled wristwatch popular among men as the perfect complement to a well-cut suit.

The aviator chronograph HB-2006 This performance-oriented aviator or pilot’s chronograph is designed for situations where a tenth of a second might make all the difference. With the chronograph engaged, the flying seconds hand on the left goes round its subdial 60 times a minute, ready to record a fraction of a second. The elapsed minutes counterbalance the running seconds below it, while the dates look out on the lower right. With a clear, wide dial, thin bezel, traditional chronograph buttons and Art-Deco numerals, this watch will be at home equally in an open cockpit or a boardroom. Available on a steel bracelet with folding clasp or on a crocodile-pattern leather strap with pin buckle. Water-resistant to 5 ATM.

HB-1004 This bold interpretation of the round dial has the white numerals in traditional style on a chapter, separated from the centre by a fillet. Each zone is finished in a different texture. A conventional steel case surrounds the beautifully clear dial with a sweep seconds hand and a date. A versatile design for dress and casual wear.. This model also comes with a steel bracelet with a folding clasp or a crocodile-pattern leather strap with pin buckle. Water-resistant to 3 ATM.

movement. The result is a watch that is both classical and contemporary, calm and dynamic. The red indices on the minute and hour counters and the Arab numerals around the edge make the black and grey dial seem very much like a precision instrument. It thus exhales a relationship with time that is both passionate and rigorous.

The black dial inherits legendary arabesques, Balmain’s inimitable hallmark, to evoke the brand’s haute couture and fashion side.

The silvered and black dial and its standout Arab numerals give the Arcade Chrono Gent airs of a nostalgic yet futuristic watch, high-tech and pop art, serious and playful. Contrasts which are found in the counters, as if weightless in a constellation of indices and numbers.

They dance discretely around counters with a pleasing sensation of

All Arcade Chrono Gent models can be fitted with a steel, black

The Arcade Chrono Gent stands out from the other members of the family through its reworked case, horns and dials: the result is a more urban, more designer and more modern watch. Madrigal Chrono Lady Oval

For the fifth time, Balmain is appointed official supplier for the future Miss Switzerland’s watch, Madrigal Chrono Lady Oval: three times more beautiful!

Balmain is offering a watch with three interchangeable straps for the first time. Beautiful woman multiplied by three! Quintessentially eclectic, elegant and original, the Madrigal Chrono Lady Oval is the ultimate expression of the different facets of the modern woman. And of feminine beauty, as Miss Switzerland will be one of its ambassadors. Elegant, sporty, relaxed, emancipated, devoted, cosmopolitan, seductive - all the facets of a modern woman found in a single day, just like a Miss. Which is why the Madrigal Chrono Lady Oval by Balmain beats at an eclectic rhythm. It is far more than a sports version of the Madrigal Lady Oval launched at the beginning of 2009. It embodies virtually three watches all by itself through its system of interchangeable straps. A first for the Maison de Saint-Imier. Balmain has beauty and dexterity marching hand in hand for a woman to shine whatever her mood or whim. A simple manoeuvre, without tools, and the strap is wedded harmoniously to the time-keeper. Steel, black or white leather - three chances for a woman to stand out rather than just one. Official watch for the future Miss Switzerland (to be crowned on 26 September in the Geneva Arena), the Madrigal Chrono Lady Oval enjoys playing with the effects over and above its astonishing versatility. Firstly, the effect of volume: its rounded crystal has an irresistible attraction for the fingers which caress it ceaselessly. Just like the case with its stylised curves, polished with the most delicate touch. Then the optical effect: the traditional arabesques, Balmain’s hallmark, seem to dance around counters like mesmerising flames. The Madrigal Lady Oval also plays with the effect of contrast: twinned with the mother-of-pearl, silver or black dial, the straps personify a watch that is both motley and engaging. Last but not least, the effect of charm. With or without its halo of 74 Wesselton diamonds, the new Balmain time-keeper makes all its wearers sparkle even more. Without necessarily needing to be Miss Switzerland.

Joli Monsieur Chrono

Power, strength, energy, vitality and contrasts. The new line of chronographs created by Balmain Watches asserts the masculinity of its wearer.

The contrast between the light and dark on the dial, the polished steel and brushed steel of the strap and the case and the round and rectangular shapes increase the tensions of this model from the Joli Monsieur collection. Even its name is an extraordinary allusion to the femininity of the models in the Jolie Madame collection. Brilliant. The Balmain Swiss watch brand understands the tastes of its male customers. It has always managed to add that definite masculine touch which makes its watches so appealing. This Joli Moniseur Chrono model captivates because it mirrors its wearers. It creates a sensation with its minute indices located on the bevelled edges of the dials. The rhythm and marking of time is presented in remarkable fashion. The details become apparent on the second glance: little by little the arabesques appear on the square second counter. Like modern man who does not reveal all his temperament on the first meeting. And the finish is immaculate, as is always the case in a Balmain watch. The details have been fine tuned meticulously under the traditional quality of Swiss watchmaking.
