All this is wonderful and exciting to share, but why did Mariantocook really catch our attention? ¡La Salsa! This Venezuelan chef living in Europe not only makes everything look easy and exquisite in a few minutes, but, as if that were not enough, she enjoys cooking, listening to music and being inspired by it. Her Salsa Brava repertoire has inspired too many interesting and delicious dishes. Music is a ‘must’ in her kitchen. Enseñando de

Cooking is passion, and that extra flavor in Mariantocook’s kitchen, is the music. There is a careful selection of a theme for cooking, from which derive colors, ingredients BY CARMEN AULAR and even smells. Creating a menu inspired by music, depends of the chef's mood. There is nothing tastier than cooking, singing and dancing.

Marianto is a Professional Chef at CEGA (Gastronomic Studies Center) in Caracas, Venezuela, and although her love for cooking began at a young age, her professionalization in the area did not come until many years later. She can cook for private dinners for 25 people or in the kitchen of "my little piece of heaven in Tuscany” as she calls it.. The kitchen is the same, what changes is the context. In the middle of process to discover something in what could be good no matter the age, Marianto decided to cook; because she could take the kitchen and go anywhere in the world and at any time. And so, she took her kitchen to Italy, where she settled with her family and where she continued to learn from the original source of the recipes.

First the music Before starting to cook, Mariantocook first puts the music, Thinks of a theme, and even improvises her culinary compositions when she has an opportunity. She also selects the wine, and cooks for it. She is a faithful believer of the argued kitchen, and to transmit to the diners what she feels while cooking. Marianto's kitchen is a deep kitchen that comes from the soul and the heart and looking for memories, not only to be in a kitchen worthy of remembering, but that it also brings back memories to whoever sits at the table.

Jimmy Bosch EL TROMBÓN CRIOLLO DE NEW YORK
USA | NEW YORK | NEW YORK
USA | NEW YORK | NEW YORK

The tracks: "Obatalá", "Oshun" and "El Güije" are themes inspired by the Yoruba religion of Cuba (Santería). Oshun is a Haitian merengue with the incursion of the violin, while El Güije is based on a rhythm created by the percussionist Dreiser Durruthy, and he presents it by speaking the sacred language, derived from the Afro-Cuban religion known as "palo". "Son XXI" from this new studio album, is a song by the deceased Cuban composer, Enrique Ubieta, who played with rhythmic clusters of Jazz. The first time that Valdés interpreted this theme was in the Musical Theater of Havana at the beginning of the 60s.
"Luces" is the first Bolero that incorporates Congas and Batá, as well as the harmonies of increased chords. And the single seven: "Chucho humor" is a “Descarga”, built on a rhythmic three notes (G, B, and C). According to the Valdés’ Words, "It's like a twister". Finally, the eighth track: "El Payaso" is a piano solo, dedicated to Maurice Ravel. This melody was composed by Valdés when he was a member of the Cuban Orchestra of Modern Music (Founder in 1967). "... I'm a bit avant-garde, I play Batá on the Piano ...”, said Chucho. With this record production, Chucho Valdés marks a new milestone in his career, a beginning with the record label: Mack Avenue Records, and a significant chapter of his past.

Poncho Sánchez was born in Laredo, Texas, in 1951 and grew up in a suburb of L.A., where he was raised on an unusual cross section of sounds that included: Straightahead Jazz, Latin Jazz and American Soul. He taught himself to play guitar, flute, drums and timbales, but eventually settled on the congas. His sound is a mixture of different rhythms: Salsa, Straightahead Jazz, Latin Jazz, and even elements of Soul and Blues. "… We put it all together in a pot, boil it together and come out with a big stew… These are the sounds I grew up with. So when I play this music, I'm not telling a lie. I'm telling my story. This is the real thing." Said Poncho.
