REVAMPED COMICS PAGE The SPACE REDNECKS story line will be continues in a graphic novel of the same name but now the magazine will have a comics section featuring the original six humor titles from the original paper. It will also add a new title called BUBBA GNOMES . It's mythology humor with a bit of a redneck twist. I seem to use a bit of a redneck twist on a lot of my comics it seems. The other titles will be QUICK APPLIANCE REPAIR, MISSISSIPPI SWAMP DRAGONS, DAWN OF TIME, CAPN' GEEZER and GOING BATTY. OLD TIMEY RADIO PLAYS On October the 28th , that's a Saturday, some friends and myself will be performing some live radio plays for Halloween. Some will be humor and based off of some of my past Halloween comic specials and some will be horror stories. It will begin at 8pm and will be on my twitch channel live streaming as we sit around a table and do this. Landon and myself will also be performing along with one of my old improv group member, Jackie White. There may be one or more other performers that we'll work out by the night of the show. It will be performed live and because of the nature of Twitch you will be able to interact with us in between the short stories in the chat room. GULF COAST FAN FEST There was a local comic con in D'lberville, MS a week ago that you should have checked out if you could because it was a fun event that was actually free admission to it. Local cons and a local comic book store put it on for fans put on by fans. They had media guests and artists and cartoonists and comics. Pensacon, 3 Alarm Comics, Southern Geek Fest, Tallahassee Comic Con, QuestCon and Magic City Con all teamed up to put this together and they did a great job at it.

PUMPKIN PAINTING CONTEST UNCLE BUBBA'S BOOK SHACK & EMPORIUM OF ODDITIES & CURIOSITES is having a Pumpkin Paining Contest. The BOOK SHACK is located at 140 Sturgis Road. The second driveway leads right to the store in the back. All you have to do is get a pumpkin and paint a design on it then bring it to the Book Shack either on Saturday 14th or Saturday 21st in October ( 2017 ) and enter it for free. The store will be open from 10 am til 5 pm those two Saturdays. It will be closed the Saturday of the 14th for the GULF COAST FAN FEST. .

COOL PODCASTS Since this issue is focused on podcasts and radio plays I will point yall to a few that should be checked out. I've just discovered the Deadly Manners podcast And I'm checking it out as I write this. The thing I like most, even before listening, is the fact that they have LaVar Burton as the narrator so you already know it's going to be good. They have two episodes up and both are just under half an hour apiece. I like podcasts because I can listen to them while I do my artwork without having to look away to see what is happening. The LORE podcast is one I have been enjoying for a while now. You can find it at www.lorepodcast.com . It's a horror podcast that run around half an hour and is about true life scary stories. It has new episodes very two weeks. It has also spawned a television show that will be premiering in October on Friday the 13th. The entire six episode first season is available exclusively to Amazon Prime Video Members. The podcast however is absolutely free so be sure to check it out. If you haven't heard of the WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE podcast then you need to crawl out from under that rock you've been hiding under and join the rest of the world for a bit. STRANGENESS IN SPACE is a little gem I discovered when I got to meet Sophie Aldred at the 2017 Pensacon and she told me about this project that she is involved with. It's just good comedy fun done as an audio sci fi show.
You may remember Sophie as the 7th Doctor's companion on Doctor Who. She has teamed up with Trev and Simon and Clare Eden to bring us this delightful show from across the pond.
