Bucknell Bison Athletics Setting the Standard of Excellence Bucknell takes great pride in its commitment to excellence on and off the playing fields. From Presidents’ Cups to Academic All-Americans to graduation rates that are ranked annually in the national top-10, Bucknell is clearly at the head of the class when it comes to upholding the scholar-athlete ideal. •
According to federal data released by the NCAA in the fall of 2008, Bucknell’s four-year student-athlete graduation rate was second-highest in the nation among student-athletes who entered college between the 1998-99 and 2001-02 academic years. With a four-class average of 89 percent, Bucknell trailed only Davidson (92 percent) among all Division I institutions reporting federal graduation rates (the Ivy League and military academies do not report federal graduation rates). Georgetown, Notre Dame and Holy Cross were also at 89 percent. Bucknell’s student-athlete graduation rate is identical to its overall student-body average of 89 percent.

With three more Patriot League championships in 2008-09, Bucknell has now earned 73 crowns in 19 years in the league. In addition, Bucknell has had 100 conference players of the year, 83 PL coaches of the year and a whopping 476 individual league champions from sports such as cross country, track & field, swimming & diving, tennis and golf.

Bucknell has captured the Patriot League Presidents’ Cup, signifying the league’s all-sports champion, 15 times in the 19-year history of the affiliation, including 11 of the last 12 years. Bucknell claimed the overall and women’s Cup standings in 2008-09. It was the 12th straight year and the 15th time overall that the Bison took home the women’s title. In 2008-09, Bucknell won Patriot League titles in women’s outdoor track & field, women’s rowing and men’s golf. Additionally, the baseball and men’s lacrosse teams captured regular-season titles.

A major element in ensuring Bucknell’s commitment to athletics excellence is the Kenneth G. Langone Athletics & Recreation Center, which opened fully in 2003. One of the finest collegiate athletics facilities of its kind, the center includes the 4,000-seat Sojka Pavilion, the Olympic class Kinney Natatorium, the Krebs Family Fitness Center and the Berger Family Weight Room. A Hall of Fame area, a display of Bucknell’s Medal of Honor recipients, a new Academic All-America wall, a sports medicine suite, modern offices for coaches and staff, and locker room and classroom space are also included in the facility’s layout.

Bucknell Bison Athletics A National Model in Promoting the Scholar-Athlete Ideal Bucknell Athletics is first and foremost a student-centered organization, one that strives to be a national model when it comes to operating by a true scholar-athlete model. At Bucknell, student-athletes’ academic programs are their first priority, and providing a competitive Division I athletics program only advances the mission, values and residential learning goals of the university. To that end, the Department of Athletics and Recreation proactively seeks ways to assist student-athletes in their daily academic pursuits. Below are just some of the student-athlete support programs currently in place. FACULTY ATHLETICS REPRESENTATIVE: The faculty athletics representative (FAR) is a member of the faculty or administrative staff who is designated to represent Bucknell in its relationships with the NCAA and the Patriot League. Bucknell’s FAR is Mitch Chernin, Professor of Biology. The FAR can enhance the student-athlete experience by promoting a balance between academics, athletics and the social lives of student-athletes, which affords them opportunities to enjoy the full range of collegiate experiences available to students generally. SIDELINE COACH PROGRAM: This program is a truly unique initiative in Division I college athletics, and it involves the invitation of a member of the faculty, administration, staff or community by one of Bucknell’s 27 varsity teams. The participant has the opportunity to discuss the overall program with the respective coaching staff, including practice preparation and strategy for the upcoming contest. The sideline coach attends a practice session and an actual intercollegiate competition, where he/she is introduced to the team and gains rarely seen insight into the relationships that exist between player-coach and player-player. The purpose of the Sideline Coaches Program is to foster a better understanding by the faculty and administration of the roles played by coaches and athletes in the university’s competitive intercollegiate athletic arena. ACADEMIC ENHANCEMENT CENTER: In the Fall of 2005, the Department of Athletics opened a study/computer lab for student-athletes on the concourse level of Sojka Pavilion. The center is outfitted with computers, a laser printer, four television monitors and a projection unit with computer, VCR and DVD player. Additionally, the study lab can be used as a meeting place for group projects, tutorial area or just a secluded and quiet study space before or after practice. LAPTOP PROGRAM: The Department of Athletics owns a number of laptop computers that may be signed out by student-athletes for use on away trips. STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAAC): Representatives from each varsity team comprise the SAAC, which is designed to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive student-athlete image. The Committee is an invaluable resource for promoting communication between athletics administration and student-athletes; promoting communication between athletics and campus-wide administration; providing feedback and insight, as well as soliciting responses into department issues and proposed NCAA legislation; building a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletics teams; organizing community service projects and efforts; creating a vehicle for student-athlete representation on campus-wide committees; serving as a collective voice of campus student-athletes; and disseminating information to the student-athlete body. OTHER PROGRAMMING: The Department of Athletics, through the identification of outside speakers and periodic “Brown Bag Luncheons,” thrives to enhance the quality of the student-athlete experience as well as to educate student-athletes on a variety of issues that may affect them throughout their collegiate career. Some recent topics of interest have been alcohol, nutrition, body image, hazing, sexuality, diversity, career development, study skills, religious life and gambling.

SEASON OUTLOOK
Two years ago Bucknell won the Patriot League Tournament title and upset nationally ranked Florida State in the NCAA Tournament. Last spring the Bison tied for the Patriot League regular-season crown and earned the No. 1 seed in the postseason tournament. Even with that recent success, Bucknell 28th-year head coach Gene Depew thinks this could be the year the team really shines. Bucknell returns three of its four weekend starting pitchers, including Second Team All-Patriot League selection Trey Frahler, while five of the team’s top six hitters from last year will remain in the lineup, including outfielder Andrew Brouse, who put together one of the best offensive seasons by a Bison in recent memory. “We will be a balanced team this year and have plenty of experience,” said Depew about the 2010 edition of the Bison. “We have a number of talented veterans who have played a lot over the last couple of years. We also have a number of newcomers who will battle for playing time.” There won’t be much room in the starting lineup for the rookies as the only position players to graduate this past offseason were center fielder Dane Grandizio and second baseman Bret Sokirka. The pitching staff lost only three seniors that combined for less than one-third of Bucknell’s innings in 2009. One advantage for the Bison as they pursue their seventh Patriot League regular-season title since 1996 is that they will play three consecutive home Patriot League series in April. This year Bucknell will be playing on a brand new FieldTurf surface at Depew Field. PITCHING STAFF Bucknell has plenty of experience on its pitching staff as eight of the 11 hurlers who logged double-figure innings last year return, including three weekend starters who are all juniors (Frahler, Eric Jarrett, Dylan Seeley). Frahler headlines the starters as he finished second in the Patriot League with a team-best 4.34 ERA last year. He was a stellar 4-0 with a 2.84 ERA opposite Patriot League opponents in the regular season. “At the end of the year Trey was one of the better pitchers in the Patriot League,” remarked Depew, who picked up his 500th career win last March. “He battled a little inflammation in the shoulder, took the summer off and we were cautious with him in the fall, but by the end of the fall he was throwing well and pain free.” Jarrett and Seeley were Bucknell’s No. 3 and No. 4 starters a year ago behind Frahler and First Team All-Patriot League choice Chris Yamaguchi. Jarrett posted an impressive rookie campaign in 2008 with a 5-6 record and a 4.29 ERA, but he struggled with his control last spring and finished 1-4 with a 7.47 ERA. He had 42 walks in 2009, one more than his 2008 total in just over half as many innings. “I expect Eric to bounce back this year,” said Depew. “He is a hard thrower who should have a strong season.” Seeley was a durable starter who logged two nine-inning complete games and won four of five starts during Patriot League play. Overall, the lanky right-hander was 4-5 with a 6.83 ERA in 54.0 innings. Those three juniors, along with the graduated Yamaguchi and Sean Driscoll, combined for 41 of Bucknell’s 47 starts a year ago, meaning Depew and sixth-year pitching coach Scott Heather will have to plug a new face into the starting rotation. Among the leaders are tall junior Daniel Hart, junior college transfer Steve Carlin, sophomore Jack Boehm and seniors Andrew Clarke and Michael Dallanegra. Hart has the most experience of the group, tying for the team lead with 15 appearances last year. He also made a start at Penn State after earning the starting nod once as a freshman. Boehm, Clarke and Dallanegra combined for 19.2 innings in 20 relief appearances a year ago, while Carlin missed most of 2009 at Arkansas-Fort Smith and is coming back from Tommy John surgery. The bullpen does not have quite the experience as the starting unit, but a number of the faces will still be recognizable to Bison fans. Sophomores g p Russell Seidell and hard-throwing Alex Cillo were two of the team’s busiest relievers a year ago, firing a combined 37.0 innings in 29 appearances. Cillo was 0-4, but picked up two keyy saves. Fellow second-year players Cal Tracy and Ryan Ebner, who will focus solely on baseball after also playing time on Andrew Brouse the Bison basketball squad as a freshman, will provide depth, along with junior left-hander Matt Foley. “We have a lot of options to choose from,” mentioned

Depew. “We will develop roles early and I think pitching in general will be a positive for us this year.” CATCHER Senior B.J. LaRosa returns for his second year as a starter at catcher. After a two-year apprenticeship behind Shawn Hirsch, LaRosa shined in his first year as a starter. The First Team All-Patriot League selection hit .320 with 13 doubles and 23 runs batted in. While he was solid at the plate, LaRosa really made a name for himself behind the plate. In addition to handling the pitching staff with ease, he threw out an amazing 52.8 percent of potential basestealers, including 9 of 11 (81.8 percent) in Patriot League regular-season contests. “B.J. is definitely one of the best catchers in the Patriot League,” commented Depew. “He is solid on the field and is a strong leader for our team.” Senior Kevin Drozin and sophomore Scott Reed will serve as LaRosa’s backups. Drozin started seven games a year ago. FIRST BASE After a freshman year where he was predominantly a pitcher, Doug Shribman moved into the starting lineup at first base last year as a sophomore. The tall right-hander was a Second Team All-Patriot League selection and was named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team. He quickly became one of the team’s top hitters, talling a .360 average while hitting six home runs and driving in 42 runs. His 15 doubles led the squad and he ended the campaign with an 18-game hitting streak intact. Pitchers Seidell and Ebner served as the durable Shribman’s backups last year and will likely do the same this year. MIDDLE INFIELD Depew has little concern with his middle infield as seniors Ben Yoder (2B) and Ben Allen (SS) are slotted to start there. Yoder started at second base in 2007 and 2008 and began the 2009 campaign there, but moved to third base a handful of games into the season and remained. He is moving back to the right side of the infield after posting a solid year with a .323 batting average, seven home runs and 35 RBIs. He also recorded a pair of two-homer contests and earned his second consecutive Second Team All-Patriot League nod. Allen has started 83 consecutive games at shortstop and is a three-year starter who will move into the top 10 in program history in starts before Patriot League play begins. He led the team with a .366 average and scored a team-high 47 runs last year. Allen now ranks eighth in program annals with 103 runs scored. “Our middle infield will be good this year with those two guys,” said Depew. “It is nice to have veterans up the middle and I expect them to continue the success they have had the last three years.” A number of freshmen will serve as backups in the middle infield, including Scott Glass and Robb Scott. THIRD BASE Yoder and Sokirka held down the third base position last year, but Depew expects sophomore David Duffett to step into the starting role this spring. Third base and center field are the only two positions the Bison do not have a returning starter. A tall right-handed hitter, Duffett appeared in 15 games a year ago, starting six. He drove in a season-high three runs in his first Patriot League appearance against Army. OUTFIELD Senior Andrew Brouse, who joined Yamaguchi and LaRosa on the All-Patriot League First Team last year, sophomore Bob Donato and junior Drew Constable are returning outfield starters, while sophomore Gerald Runyan was perhaps Bucknell’s best hitter during the fall season. Brouse, a two-year starter in right, put together one of the better seasons by a Bison hitter in recent memory as he hit .330 with 10 home runs and 57 RBIs and ranked in the top five in the Patriot League in five offensive categoR ries. r “You know what you are going to get from Andrew,” praised Depew. “He had h a great year last year and we hope he can continue that success this season.” s Donato and Constable split time in left field last year and both should see s increased playing time this season. Donato was solid at the plate and hit for f the cycle during the team’s spring break trip to Florida. Constable hit .356 .3 playing in left, at designated hitter and coming off the bench. The righthander smashed a pair of home runs, drove in 15 runs and scored 19 in just h 28 2 games. Runyan saw limited action last spring, but Depew was impressed with the Milton, Pa., native’s fall performance and sees a larger role for him in 2010. #33 Gene Depew Guided by four-time Patriot League Coach of the Ye Gene Depew, the Bucknell baseball team annuYear, ally ranks near the top of the Patriot League. The Bison all have been especially successful over the last 13 years, h ha fin nishing in the top two in the Patriot League eight times, winning three Patriot League Tournament titles tim and claiming the regular-season crown six times. Adan ditionally, Depew has guided Bucknell to four NCAA dit Tournament appearances over that span. To Since 1996, Bucknell has broken the 20-win plateau 11 times, including three 30-win campaigns, and Depew’s career winning percentage of .465 (520-597-7) is pe Head Coach the th best at Bucknell since William Lane’s career ended 29th season in 1957. Bucknell ’71 Last spring Depew helped the Bison earn their 520-597-7 sixth regular-season Patriot League title as he oversaw a 13-7 conference campaign. In 2008, Depew guided Bucknell to perhaps the biggest win in program history when it defeated No. 4 nationally ranked Florida State 7-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. It was just the fourth time a Patriot League team won an NCAA postseason game. On an individual level, Depew has won the Patriot League Coach of the Year award four times (1993, 1996, 2003, 2009), has had three Patriot League Pitchers of the Year (Mike Tomko, 1996; Mike Anders, 1998; Kevin Miller, 2003), three Players of the Year (Kevin Silverman, 1996; Frank Fresconi, 2000; Jason Buursma, 2008) and two Rookies of the Year (Phil Futrick, 2003; Ben Yoder, 2007). Depew has also led 59 student-athletes to 89 Patriot League first- and second-team accolades. In the classroom, Bucknell baseball has had 11 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Americans since 1992, including Jason Buursma, who was named to the first team in 2008. A 1971 Bucknell graduate, Depew is entering his 29th season as the Bison’s head coach and has the longest tenure of any coach in Bucknell baseball history. He has directed his teams to 520 victories, nearly four times the amount of any coach in school history. To honor that, Bucknell’s baseball field was renamed Depew Field during the 2003 season. A native of Mifflintown, Pa., Depew was the recipient of both bachelor and master of science degrees in education from Bucknell. Football was the first sport for which Depew was a coach, as he oversaw the Bison gridders’ defensive line from 1972-1992. It was in 1974 that Depew began his current occupation, first as an assistant coach for the baseball team until 1981, after which he assumed the lead role. As an undergraduate, Depew was a standout football player for the Bison. He was a three-year letterwinner and co-captained the squad in 1970. He played every position on the defensive line, and was described by his head coach as “being as hard-nosed as they come. He has excellent speed and size for a defensive lineman.” In 1969, he was named All-Middle Atlantic Conference honorable mention. Depew has two brothers who also played football for Bucknell, Terry (’73) and Alvin (’81). Gene and his wife, Debbie, reside in Mifflinburg and are the parents of a daughter, Erin, a 2006 graduate of Bucknell, and a son, William, a member of the Class of 2010.
#34 Scott Heather Former University of Arkansas pitcher Scott He Heather begins his sixth season as pitching coach for th the Bison. Under Heather’s direction, Bucknell’s pitching staff has posted an ERA of under 4.50 three times in his first five years. The staff had a 4.30 ERA in 2006, ma marking the team’s lowest since 1983 (4.10). During his tenure, Heather has tutored a number of outstanding pitchers, including 2008 graduates Jaso Buursma and Mathew Wilson. Those two former son Bi Bison claimed back-to-back Patriot League ERA titles, wh Buursma earned a pair of First Team All-Patriot while Le League selections as a relief pitcher. Wilson, who was Assistant Coach th 2007 Patriot League ERA champion, was a Secthe ond Team All-Patriot League selection in 2008, broke 6th season the school record for career shutouts (5) and pitched Arkansas ’03 a complete-game shutout against nationally ranked Florida State in the NCAA Tournament. Last year, Heather helped current junior Trey Frahler and then-senior Chris Yamaguchi finish second and third, respectively, in the Patriot League ERA race. Yamaguchi bounced back from arm surgery, while Frahler improved his ERA by nearly 6.00 from his rookie campaign. Heather has seen a pitcher from the Bison staff selected in three of the last four Major League Baseball Drafts. Buursma was drafted in 2007 (42nd round by Seattle Mariners) and 2008 (25th round by St. Louis Cardinals), while Kyle Walter was selected in the 18th round of the 2006 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. worked closely with Walter during his days in Orange and Blue to transition from position player to pitcher. Prior to joining the Bison, Heather served as an assistant coach for ArkansasFort Smith from 1999 to 2004. Heather began his playing career at Arizona Western College in Yuma, Ariz., where he was MVP of the 1996 team that was ranked third nationally, before moving on to Arkansas. Heather lettered for the Razorbacks as a pitcher in 1997 and 1998, then became a student assistant in 1999 when Arkansas won its first Southeastern Conference championship. He also pitched professionally for the Duluth Dukes of the Northern League in 1998.

#6 A.J. Yoder A.J. Yoder, the older brother of current Bison senior infielder Ben Yoder, is the newest addition to the nio Bucknell baseball coaching staff. The 2009 graduate of Bu Virginia Military Institute earned a degree in psycholVi ogy while also playing all four years on the diamond og for the Keydets. An accomplished infielder, Yoder ranked in the top 10 of 11 different categories in the VMI record books at the time of his graduation, and he set the program single-season record with 80 hits as a senior. Yoder sin stands third on the career hits list with 221, while his sta 10 career triples and 46 career hit by pitches place him Assistant Coach se second on both those ledgers. A First Team All-Big South Conference selection as 1st season a senior, Yoder hit .349 with three home runs and 27 VMI ’09 runs batted in during his final season. He started all 53 games, piled up 18 extra base hits and was second on the squad with 11 stolen bases. Yoder, who also made the Big South All-Tournament Team in 2009, finished his career with a .300 batting average, eight home runs, 92 runs batted in and 131 runs scored in 201 games. At Bucknell, Yoder will work closely with the Bison infielders and serve as the first base coach.

Bucknell Upsets Florida State! In 2008, Bucknell advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in program history. There, the Bison met top-seeded Florida State, the No. 4 team in the country. In their first-round matchup, Bucknell posted a convincing 7-0 victory over the Seminoles behind a complete game, six-hit shutout performance by Mathew Wilson. The win was the first NCAA triumph for the Bison and it ended a streak of 15 consecutive openinground wins for Florida State. The shutout was the fifth of Wilson’s career, establishing a new Bucknell record. Dane Grandizio tallied four hits in the contest, while Shawn Hirsch drove in a pair of runs.

ATRIOT EAGUE/COMMITMENT TO SUCCESS
The Patriot League In its second decade of combining academic and athletic excellence, the Patriot League sponsors championships in 23 men and women’s sports. Initially started as an NCAA Division I-AA football conference in 1986, the Patriot League became an all-sport conference in 1990 and includes American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy as full members, and Fordham and Georgetown as associate members. These institutions are among the oldest and most prestigious in the nation and their alumni have, and continue to play leadership roles in shaping our country. Since 1998, the Patriot League has ranked first each year among all Division I conferences awarding athletic aid in the NCAA Graduation Rate Report. The League finished at the top spot with 96 percent of its teams reporting a graduation rate of 85 percent or higher in the most recent data. In addition, 76 Patriot League teams earned NCAA Academic Performance Program Public Recognition Awards after posting academic progress rate scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The Patriot League’s mission is simple, to provide successful competitive athletic experiences while maintaining high academic standards, and to prepare its student-athletes to be leaders in society. During the 2008-09 academic year, Patriot League student-athletes and teams accomplished the following: • 14 student-athletes earned ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America honors • 61 student-athletes were recognized as ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, with 45 on the First Team. • Bucknell won its 15th overall and women’s Patriot League Presidents’ Cup trophy, while Army won the men’s trophy for the first time since 2005. • Holy Cross men’s soccer senior Jerry Dickinson was awarded a Fulbright Grant to work and study in South Africa. • Navy’s Kelly Zahalka earned her third Academic All-America selection from CoSIDA, and was also named to the USA Today First-Team All-Academic squad. She also earned both a Truman and Marshall Scholarship. • Navy’s Lizzie Barnes was one of 58 student-athletes nationally to receive an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and was also a First-Team All-Senior All-America selection. • Army became the first Patriot League team to advance to the finals of the NCAA Baseball Regional. • *Bucknell’s Andrew Cohen set a record with a score of 208 at the Patriot League Golf Championship, and was named Golf World’s College Player of the Week for his effort. • Army’s Ben Koenigsfeld became the first baseball student-athlete to earn a pair of First-Team All-League honors in the same season. • Colgate’s Nick Hennessey and Steve Jonas and Holy Cross’ Brett McDermott all signed NFL free agent contracts. • Hennessey became the first Patriot Leaguer since 2004 to earn consensus FCS All-America honors. • The Lehigh women’s basketball team was one of 14 NCAA Tournament participants to record a perfect graduation rate. • Colgate’s Jordan Scott finished his career as the all-time Division I leader in carries (1,240), and fifth in FCS history while breaking the Patriot League record in rushing yardage (5,621). • Scott became the eighth player in FCS history and first Patriot League with four 1,000-yard rushing seasons in his career. • Holy Cross quarterback Dominic Randolph led the FCS in passing yards, total offense and completions per game in 2008, while also finishing as a finalist for the Walter Payton Award. • Army men’s soccer goalkeeper A.J. Glubzinski was a First-Team All-Senior All-America selection and Lowe’s Senior CLASS award finalist.

Bucknell Athletics Mission Statement The Department of Athletics and Recreation strives to set the standard of excellence for intercollegiate and intramural programs in higher education, thereby advancing and drawing attention to the mission, core values, and educational goals of Bucknell University. The Department believes that student-athletes’ academic programs must be their first priority. It is therefore committed to maintaining Bucknell’s high national ranking for student-athletes’ graduation rates and for producing Academic All-Americans, and to continued leadership of the Patriot League in Academic Honor Roll nominations, based on grade-point averages. The coaches’ and staff ’s paramount responsibility is maintaining academic priorities and supporting student-athletes’ education, even while providing the rigorous and serious NCAA Division I athletic opportunities Bucknell student-athletes seek. Further, the Department promotes the personal growth of student-athletes and the general student body by encouraging personal health, development, and balance among intellectual, social, civic, and physical pursuits; by celebrating challenge and competition; and by preparing participants for service and leadership in the world. Coaches and staff direct a rich array of athletic programs and recreational opportunities aimed at increasing student engagement, as well as strengthening character, healthy living, teamwork, sportsmanship, and spirit. In creating shared experiences for students, faculty, and staff, as well as alumni, family, and friends, the Department’s programs add substantially to Bucknell’s sense of community and foster life-long relationships with Bucknell. The Department embraces the University’s decision to compete at the highest extramural level, in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Division I membership is valuable not only because this level of competition maximally challenges student-athletes, but also because it signals clearly Bucknell’s high standards and seriousness of purpose in all extracurricular endeavors and it helps position Bucknell apart from other National Liberal Arts Colleges. Likewise, the competitive success the Department seeks, measured in part by consistent contention for the Patriot League Presidents’ Cup, reflects positively upon Bucknell’s student-athletes and the University alike, and it brings distinction and national recognition to Bucknell. A student-centered operation, the Department is committed to providing equitable opportunities to women and men, as well as members of minority and majority groups of all kinds. The Department subscribes to, and complies with, all principles and regulations of the Patriot League, the Eastern College Athletic Conference, and the NCAA. Depew Field Continuing the stream of impressive facility upgrades in recent years at the Bucknell West Fields complex, focus has now shifted to the Bison softball and baseball venues. During the offseason, Depew Field received a new playing surface as a grass-like artificial turf was installed. The initial stage of the renovation of Depew Field focuses on improving the student-athlete components of the facility. In the spring of 2010, following the conclusion of the varsity playing season, renovations will continue with the replacement of existing dugouts, fencing, backstop systems and other facility improvements.

The Plan for Bucknell Bucknell is a unique national university where liberal arts and professional programs complement each other, where 3,350 full-time students are educated for a lifetime of critical thinking and strong leadership. The Plan for Bucknell was unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees on April 29, 2006, having previously been approved by the students and faculty.
