Student Loans
Maintenance Loans
You may be eligible for financial support from the government to help you with the cost of living during your studies. Contact our student hub on students@bnu.ac.uk for more information.
Tuition Fee Loans
The most common way to fund your degree is with a student loan that covers all your tuition fees - and you won’t be asked to pay back a penny until you’ve graduated and earning over the government threshold. Find out more at gov.uk/student-finance gov.uk/student-finance is the best place to start.
You can apply for both of these loans from February before you start university and the earlier the better to ensure that you are paid on time in September. You don’t need to have made your final choice of university to apply – just put your first choice and you can edit your application at any point up to enrolment.
There may be additional financial help and benefits that you are able to claim depending on your personal circumstances.
