Problems and Discriminat ion
• Throughout my time at both primary and secondary school I suffered with discrimination. • Names like ‘Scruffy’ and ‘Dirty’ would be attributed to my family's lifestyle and culture.
Fight back with educatio n!
One of the biggest problems I faced was not being able to correctly describe what my identity was? Who are we? Who am I? Understanding what it means to be a Showmen is key. I remember saying I don’t want to go back, and I loved learning!
