The Bucks Student

Re-opens it’s doors!

Coronavirus halted the world as we know it for a year and a half and had a massive impact on so many industries, but one of the hardest hit industries was the arts. Theatres, performance venues and studios all closed their doors, too many of them never to open up again. It has been an incredibly hard time for the industry and that’s exactly why now is a great time to get into musical theatre!

Musical Theatre Society didn’t let these closures grind them to a halt, instead, throughout the pandemic, weekly Zoom meetings were held with singing lessons, dancing masterclasses and exciting games to keep its members occupied when there wasn’t much else to do; which is is exactly why we have earned the status of outstanding society.

Now, we have reopened our doors for weekly, in-person sessions with performance opportunities aplenty. So whether you are a singer, dancer, actor or just want to give it a go, make sure to sign up to the society on the student union website. The first performance of the year is the Wycombe Christmas Lights Switch On on the 21st November 2021, so even if you don’t want to get up on the stage, make sure to come down and watch us, and if you have any questions, contact us on any of our social media platforms: Email: bucksmtsociety@hotmail.com Facebook: @bucksmusicaltheatre Instagram: bucksmtsociety
