Get a clean car and make a difference for flood victim relief. Due to conditions at Fossil Creek Reservoir Regional Open Space the 2013 NoCo Nature Festival is cancelled. Soils at the event site are highly saturated, and there is reasonable concern that the event (booths and parking) would cause significant resource damage to the area. The NoCo Nature Festival was previously the Northern Colorado Birding Fair and was redesigned for 2013 with expanded activities, live music and more. Event organizers and partners look forward to unveiling the new and improved event in September of 2014. Saturday, Oct. 5 3rd Annual Authentic Berthoud Oktoberfest, hosted by the Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce. Music, dancing, scarecrow contest, lederhosen.dirndl contest, pretzel eating contest for the kids. Featuring City Star and Grimm Brothers beer and a selection of fine German wines. Brats, pretzels, vendors and much, much more. Friday, Oct. 11 The Berthoud Open Golf Tournament has been rescheduled to Friday, Oct. 11. Give money • A Flood Victim Relief Fund is available here. Homecoming parade On Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, the Berthoud High School Athletic Booster Club (ABC) will be holding a homecoming parade. Line-up of parade will begin at 3 p.m., parade starts at 4 p.m. and should be under an hour for the event. We anticipate 20-30 floats/vehicles facing south. All float drivers will be instructed to park in designated areas on Second Street and not block driveways.
