The youth hiring events will host multiple businesses to concurrently interview youth candidates for summer employment positions. The LCWC will prepare youth with a master application and optional resume for your review. Larimer County’s application process is underway for Larimer County 101: A Journey Through Larimer County Services (LC101), a nine-week class introducing Larimer County residents to county services and the people who provide them. an innovative experiential education program called Open Door Project for eight sessions (February through April and September-October this year). Open Door combines Equine Facilitated Learning and Emotional Intelligence to teach social and emotional skills necessary for success to Lincoln Middle School kids. Class begins Feb. 25, 11:40 a.m. - 1:40 p.m. and will run every Tuesday for eight weeks through April 29. The selected “Artist of the Year” will have the opportunity to create a piece of visual art inspired by a Larimer County park or open space which they will donate to the county. The Larimer County Natural Resources Department will host a public celebration of the final submitted artwork, display the work for public viewing in a Larimer County building, and publicize the selected artist whenever appropriate. The artist will host one public art-related program to increase the public’s appreciation of open spaces through art.
