In his presentation Babicz will examine America and baseball during the decades preceding the Civil War when the sport captured all the qualities of a rural, pre-industrial nation: individuality, equality and freedom from the work clock. Sponsored by the Berthoud Historical Society, there is a suggested donation of $3 for members

Wednesday, March 5 The Senior Transportation Coalition has rescheduled its community transportation meetings that were cancelled last December due to adverse weather. The public is invited to two sessions to discuss how Larimer County can create a more aging friendly transportation system. The Larimer County 4-H Clubs will hold their annual Carnival on Saturday, March 22. The event will be held in the First National Bank Building at the Larimer County Fairgrounds. Ticket cost is $1 each and they can be purchased from any Larimer County 4-H member. During the carnival they may be exchanged for five booth tickets and will also be an entry for the door prizes and grand prizes being given away.
