The Mighty Methodist Men are putting on a Father/Son Breakfast this Saturday, April 19 at 9 a.m. at Berthoud United Methodist Church. The Berthoud Norwegian Fjord horse owners will describe their adventures at the Rose Bowl Parade with photos and stories. Grace Place Church is hosting an Easter egg hunt for the community at Berthoud High School on Saturday, April 19. Parents will be able to get their children fingerprinted and an identification card at a Child I.D. event at the Easter egg hunt at Berthoud High School on Saturday, April 19. There will be a booth at the event from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No child’s information or pictures are electronically retained. An Easter Sunrise Service will be celebrated at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday morning, April 20, at Berthoud’s Roberts Lake Park. Grab a jacket and come join in welcoming the Resurrection in the spring sunrise. After an Easter breakfast at the church (9th Street and Lake Avenue) and a 10 a.m. worship service with choir anthems, children and parents are welcome at the Easter egg hunt and the release of butterflies on the church lawn. The butterfly larvae have been transforming themselves into butterflies at the church during the weeks and days before Easter. Community members are invited to any or all of these Easter activities. The Jabaily award was created by the Larimer County Board of Health in honor and in memory of Dr. Joseph Jabaily, a Loveland neurologist, community activist, volunteer and member of many boards in the county who died tragically after an accident in a charity bicycle race in summer of 2004. The award honors an individual or group who has contributed in an extraordinary way to public health in Larimer County or has made an outstanding contribution to public health in Larimer County over time. Nominations must be submitted in writing, either online or on a PDF file from the award website at http://www.larimer.org/boards/ public_health_hero.cfm. The Thompson School District invites public review and feedback on three different K-5 math programs that are being considered for adoption during the 2014-2015 school year. Materials can be viewed at the Thompson School District Administration Building, 800 S Taft Ave. Loveland, Colo., from April 9-23, between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Feedback will be analyzed and assimilated with data collected from classroom pilots, perception surveys, national research and regional site visits of materials in use. Final recommendation will be presented to the Board of Education on May 7.
