can all say it has been a mammoth year! I am sure that you have found that as well in many different ways. It was during the last October DTS that I gained the nick name of Buddy Big Things, referring to big dreams and wanting to live life full of challenges and adventures. That DTS was a good picture of that as we endeavored to take 43 random strangers after only 6 weeks of knowing each other across to Papua New Guinea then a few weeks later on a road trip for 5 weeks to ACT, New South Wales Queensland, and South Australia proclaiming the message “I WANT TO LIVE” which is part of the Australia and PNG ship tour. It was a major time of learning, faith stretching and hope building as we saw lives changed and and the impossible happen. A DREAM, CELEBRATION AND TIMELY REFRESHING After the october DTS things just kept on getting busy!!! You know when you are just ready for things to quite down but instead they kick up another gear. In the midst of all that was going on I really felt God speaking to me about traveling to re-connect with the students and staff that I have worked with over my last 7 years in missions (a dream I have had for awhile now). Much to my disappointment though I only got to see 55 people in the 3 weeks of traveling around the States and Canada. It was so great getting to though as I was able to hear more of the journey that they each have been on since their time in YWAM as well as hopefully encourage them with some of the things that are ahead not just in YWAM but missions around the world.

UNCLE BUDDY AND THE FAMILY TOGETHER Also this trip was a chance to join the rest of the family for the first time in 3 years. Our reunion location was at my sister Rach and Andy’s house in Switzerland which just happened to be in need of some building as well.... It was so great to be Uncle Buddy though and to be able to just catch up even though it was crazy with 5 little nieces running around.
NORTH AMERICA TOUR: 55 people in 3 weeks and visited LA, Colorado, New York, London, San Francisco, Vancouver, Kelowna, Bellingham and Philadelphia.
NEW WEBSITE: Yes as strange as it may have been, one of my key projects between Oct DTS 09 and Oct DTS 10 is the developing of a new website, which we launched in just a week before the DTS began

Its hard not to have that thought as again another group of 35 total strangers arrive in townsville, each with their own story and different expectation of their next 6 months. More than any other this school has had that potential to just slip under the radar and become a program to run.
