A taxicab, also referred to as a taxi cab or perhaps a cab, is a form of motor vehicle for hire using a car owner, utilized by an individual person or tiny band of passengers, frequently for a no-provided ride. A taxicab communicates passengers between spots in their choice. This differs from other modes of public transport where the pick-up and drop-off locations are determined by the service provider, not by the passenger, although demand responsive transport and share taxis provide a hybrid bus/taxi mode.
