Our hero is Mother Teresa of Calcuta. She was born in Calcuta, India on 26th August 1910 and she died on 5th September 1997. She is our hero because she helped a lot of people. She founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious congregation, which in 2012 consisted of over 4.500 sisters and is active in 133 countries. They run hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children’s and family counselling programs; orphanages; and schools.

People can donate money and adopt children who are in vulnerable and bad life situations
