Please note that due to reasons of sustainability, you cannot set the air-conditioning to extremely cold temperatures.
The Bürgenstock Resort produces energy in an environmentally friendly manner. To this end, a unique heating and cooling system that makes use of sea water was developed for all the buildings in the resort.
AIRPORT
APPLE TV
Zurich Airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes away by car, and 2 hours and 30 minutes by public transport (83 kilometres from the resort). Do not hesitate to contact our concierge if you require help regarding transportation. He will organise a limousine, a public transport ticket or a taxi for you.
The regional Buochs Airport is located only 12 kilometers from the Bürgenstock Resort and is 20 minutes away by car. Please contact our concierge for arrival flights with private jets.

The closest boat station is in Kehrsiten at the foot of the Bürgenberg. You can reach the Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock station with the Bürgenstock Funicular in five minutes.
The Bürgenstock shuttle boat departs every hour from Lucerne to Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock. Use of the shuttle boat between Kehrsiten and Lucerne is free for guests of the Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa and Waldhotel by Bürgenstock throughout their stay (incl. arrival and departure).
During the summer months the usual scheduled boats operate from Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock to Alpnachstad (Stansstad) and Weggis (via Vitznau, Brunnen, Flüelen). For more information and departure times, please contact the concierge.

Access to Alpine Spa is through a glass corridor on Level 4 of Bürgenstock Hotel or from outside through the main entrance on Level 0, between the Piazza and the Diamond Domes.
CLOTHING IN THE SPA
The pool areas in Alpine Spa are accessible to both men and women simultaneously and are not nude area. Therefore, we kindly ask you to cover your body with swimwear or a towel in these spa areas. Textile-free areas (textile-free Spa Mixed and textile-free Spa Ladies) are clearly marked, and sauna towels are provided for your use, especially on wooden benches.
CANCELLATION AND DELAYS
Cancellations are free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Without notice, the full costs will be charged. Unfortunately, delays do not reduce costs or extend treatments.

GGOLF
Built in 1928, the 9-hole Bürgenstock Alpine Golf Course is one of the oldest in Switzerland. Our golf restaurant with a beautiful sun terrace is also located right next to the golf course. The driving range with ball machine, newly opened in summer 2017, offers several teeing grounds, practice balls, chipping, pitching and putting greens.
As a hotel guest, you have access to Bürgenstock Alpine Golf and the driving range. If required, well-maintained sets of rental clubs are available for a fee. We are happy to take reservations for your tee time or requests for golf lessons with our golf pro. HHAMMETSCHWAND LIFT
Built in 1905 and now entirely refurbished, the Hammetschwand Lift is Europe’s highest outdoor lift. In less than a minute, it takes you the 152 metres to the Hammetschwand, the peak of the Bürgenberg. You can reach the Hammetschwand Lift in 20 minutes via the Felsenweg.

There are over 70 km of hiking trails on the Bürgenberg. The ‘Bürgenberg Experience’ map with numerous tips for hiking and other excursions is available free of charge at our Concierge Desk.
The brave pioneers of the Bürgenstock Resort, Franz Josef Bucher and Josef Durrer, made tourism history: In 1873, they built the first hotel on the Bürgenberg and laid the foundation for a world-renowned gem – the Bürgenstock Resort. METHODS
Parking your car with us is subject to a charge of CHF 40 per car per night (24 hours)*. In addition, we offer a Valet Parking Service without any additional charge. Please contact the concierge at least 15 minutes before your departure so that your car can be driven up in good time.
You can charge your electric car in our underground car park. Both universal charging stations and dedicated Tesla chargers are available for your convenience. Please note that a surcharge applies.
*If the parking is included, it will be mentioned in your confirmation.
We accept cash in Swiss francs (CHF) as payment for the room bill. Foreign currency is converted into CHF using the hotel’s exchange rate (with a 5% commission). You can also pay using all the standard debit and credit cards.
PETS Your pets are welcome to stay with us. We charge a fee of CHF 60 per night. Included in the price, in addition to the cleaning of a doggie bed, is a towel, a double doggie bowl, a goodie and a toy.
We reserve the right to hold the owner responsible for any damage caused by a pet to the hotel. Please press the ‘Do not disturb’ button and hang the ‘Pet in room’ hanger provided on the door handle, because hotel staff are not allowed to enter the room in the absence of the pet owner.
PHARMACY The closest pharmacy is located in Länderpark shopping center in Stans (15 minutes by car). It is open from Mon to Fri from 9 am to 8 pm and on Sat from 8 am to 6 pm.
Our concierge can purchase over-the-counter medication for you at the nearest pharmacy. The cost of the medication and the journey will be passed on to you. The use of over-the-counter medication is always at the guest's own risk.

If we receive a phone call for you but cannot reach you in your room, we will take a message at the request of the caller and take it to your room. If you are expecting an important call, let the Guest Service Agents know how best to contact you.
POST If you are expecting private post, the concierge will bring it to you immediately. You can also send letters and packages and buy stamps at reception or from the concierge. The concierge can provide information about the costs.
PRIVATE JET
Nearby Buochs Airport is ideal for arrivals and departures with a private jet. The concierge will assist you with booking a plane for your trip. Please note that the airfield does not have a blind landing system.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
With a combination of Bürgenstock Funicular and MS Bürgenstock Catamaran from Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock, the Bürgenstock Resort offers exceptional connections to Lucerne and to a comprehensive public transport system. This connection is free for guests who overnight at the resort. The Bürgenstock Funicular departs from the Piazza on Level 0 of the Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa.
The Bürgenstock Resort is also connected to public transport via the Postbus, Line 321. The Postbus leaves for Stansstad train station every hour from a variety of stops at the resort. The next train station is Stansstad. From there, trains operate in the direction of Lucerne and Engelberg. The concierge will be happy to advise you about the different ticket options. Our housekeeping team usually cleans the rooms between 9 am and 6 pm, the evening service is carried out between 6 and 9 pm.
If you require the room cleaning service at a particular time, you can press the ‘Make up Room’ button beside the door to your room at any time. Our housekeeping will take care of your room immediately. You can also reach us by phone at any time.

You will find a leather shoe box in your wardrobe. Please leave your shoes in this box outside the door by 2.00 a.m. if you wish to use the shoe cleaning service. TTAVERNE 1879 The restaurant with large sun terrace was opened in 1879 and has changed its name from “Helvetia” to “Kreuz” and now to its current name, “Taverne 1879”.
In our historical restaurant, we serve modern interpretations of authentic Swiss dishes primarily using local produce. The rustic interior and the incredible views of the surrounding mountain landscape make for a fantastic ambiance.

CLOTHING IN THE SPA
The pool areas at Waldhotel Spa are accessible to both men and women and are not textile free. For this reason, please wear swimwear or a bath towel in the spa areas.
The textile-free areas (Mixed spa and Ladies spa) are labelled accordingly. We have provided special sauna towels for you. Please make use of them, particularly for sitting on the wooden benches.
CANCELLATION AND DELAYS
Cancellations can be made at no cost up to 24 hours in advance. You will be charged in full for cancellations made without notice. Unfortunately, it is not possible to reduce the cost or extend the treatment beyond the agreed appointment time for late arrivals.
