Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne Appoints New Hotel Manager: Dominik Stalder is promoted within to oversee operational management

Obbürgen, Switzerland - Dominik Stalder has taken up his position as the new Hotel Manager of the Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne. As a part of the luxury resort’s preopening team, Stalder played a key role in revitalizing the business during the ten-year renovation phase. His professional expertise and commitment has significantly contributed to the subsequent success of the resort following the official opening. Most recently, he served as Project Leader for the High-Level Conference on Peace in Ukraine, the largest diplomatic event in Switzerland's history. This took place on June 15 and 16, 2024 at Bürgenstock Resort and brought together 1,000 international VIPs, including 57 heads of state, as well as 700 internal and 350 external staff and contributors. The organization of this event represented a major logistical challenge, which was successfully mastered under his leadership in collaboration with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

As Assistant F&B Director, Stalder played a crucial role in the resort's grand opening in September 2018 with more than 1000 guests. His achievements also include managing the 150th anniversary event in 2023, which brought together over 4000 guests on the mountain, as well as organizing major conferences and corporate events with an international reach.

Stalder has had an impressive career with Bürgenstock Hotels AG, starting as Assistant F&B Director (March 2017 to January 2022). He expanded his expertise as Director of Events & Entertainment (January 2022 to December 2023), where he successfully applied his skills in event planning, project management and team leadership. Since December 2023, he held the position of Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Food & Beverage, Events & Projects, which he held until June 2024. In all positions, Stalder has impressed not only with his professional expertise, but also with his hands-on mentality. He finds

solutions skillfully and efficiently and is always at the forefront to ensure that projects are carried out successfully and to the fullest satisfaction. His responsibilities included the development and implementation of events in close collaboration with various departments such as F&B, Marketing and Sales.

Dominik Stalder, a Swiss citizen from Schwyz, has in-depth knowledge of hospitality management, which he acquired by successfully completing the "Dipl. Hotelier(e)Gastronom(in) HF" course at the SHL Swiss Hotel Management School in Lucerne. Prior to his academic training, he completed an apprenticeship as a chef at the GIBZ Gewerblichindustrielles Bildungszentrum Zug, which underpins his in-depth understanding of the catering industry. He also has outstanding project management, communication and team leadership skills. He is fluent in German and English and has a basic knowledge of French.
