BÜRGENSTOCK HOTELS & RESORT LAKE LUCERNE TO PUBLISH NEW COOKBOOK

« THE SEVEN KITCHENS »

The Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne has announced the impending release of its celebratory recipe book, “The Seven Kitchens of the Bürgenstock Resort”, to mark the resort’s 150th anniversary in 2023.

World renowned for its exemplary culinary offering across seven restaurants, the Bürgenstock Resort is acclaimed for its tastes of the world. From classic French cuisine in the Brasserie Ritzcoffier to authentic Pan-Asian delights in Spices Kitchen & Terrace and nose-to-tail concepts at Oak Grill & Pool Patio, each menu is a gourmand’s delight. These different cuisines have one thing in common: they are conceived and created by Corporate Culinary Director, Mike Wehrle.

Mike has been at the helm of the gourmet offering of the resort since it relaunched in 2017 and has cemented Bürgenstock Resort’s culinary reputation with his brigade of experienced chefs from across the globe. With the launch of this 303-page cook book, readers will discover dishes that range from easy, simple plates for beginners through to more challenging haute cuisine recipes that will hone a chef’s craftsmanship. For the first time, those using the book will be able to bring some of the culinary excellence of the Bürgenstock Resort restaurants into their homes to experience it with friends and family.

The structure of the recipe section is based on the cuisine of the individual restaurants, with more than 140 recipes to try. Before each chapter, Mike’s philosophy, thoughts and considerations behind his approach to the different recipes and what makes each authentic are shared. Readers will also find a wealth of information about the heritage of the Resort dating back over 150 years, its famed guests and the developments which have culminated in the award-winning Bürgenstock Resort of today.

Upon launch in December 2022, The Seven Kitchens of the Bürgenstock Resort will be available for purchase in English or in German in-store at the resort’s SkyBoutique or online for CHF 49.
