Josh Turner to perform at the romeoville Toyota pavilion
The Village of Romeoville is excited to announce that multi award-winning and nominated country superstar, Josh Turner, will be performing at the Romeoville Toyota Pavilion at Deer Crossing Park on Saturday, June 17th, at 8:30 p.m.
With his deep bass voice, Turner has sold more than six and a half million records, reached 4.8 billion global streams, and has become a favorite and unforgettable hitmaker on country radio. With timeless songs like “Long Black Train” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” Turner’s five No. 1 singles include “Your Man,” of which the official music video surpassed 100 million views. Turner released Your Man Deluxe Edition, celebrating 15 years of Turner’s iconic double Platinumselling album, as well as the mini documentary “Josh Turner Your Man 15thAnniversary” (Mini Doc). The Double-Platinumselling “Would You Go With Me,” featured on Your Man Deluxe Edition, experienced a viral surge across TikTok leading to a jump in streaming which landed the classic country tune on Spotify’s US Viral 50 along with Spotify Viral charts in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland. The song continues to be a fan favorite, currently posting over a million streams per week and 1.5M global streams weekly.

A native of South Carolina, Turner has been nominated for three GMA Dove awards and won his first GMA Dove Award in 2021 for “I Saw The Light” featuring Sonya Isaacs, off his I Serve a Savior album. Turner has received six Inspirational Country Music Awards, and has been nominated for two GRAMMY Awards, five CMA Awards, two ACM Awards, one CMT Award, and seven ACA Awards. Turner released his first Christmas album, King Size Manger, in 2021 and accompany vinyl and DVD in 2022. To support music and arts education, he created The Josh Turner Scholarship Fund For The Arts to help students pursue their studies in these fields.

Pricing for tickets will be $60 for Premium General Admission and $30 for General Admission. Linda Lou Baker (nee Lowe), age 76, a longtime resident of Plainfield, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at her home. She was born January 27, 1947, in Aurora, IL.
Beloved wife of the late Carrol E. Baker, whom she married September 15, 2001 and who preceded her in death on July 20, 2019, former spouse of the late Art “Poncho” Leos, loving mother of Teresa (Wade) Dickinson of Pace, FL, Kelly (David) Lawson of Morris, IL, Marvin (Rosa) Dew of Joliet, IL and Arthur “Raul” (Sarah) Leos of New Lenox, IL, adored grandmother of Ryan, Ashly, Cody, Isabel, Emma, Jessica, Jennifer, Preston and Roman, proud great-grandmother of many, devoted daughter of the late Preston and Alice (nee Olson) Lowe, dear sister of Margie (Wayne) Jackson of Arizona, the late Sandy (Phil) Ragusa and the late Patsy Horn-Kassner, fond aunt and great-aunt of many, including Miranda (Tim) Stelter of Joliet, sister-in-law, cousin and friend of many. Linda will also be missed by her dog, Bella.
Linda grew up in Joliet, IL and was a graduate of Plainfield High School. She was employed by Kerr Glass in Plainfield and made costumes for the Josie O’Kane Store in Joliet. Linda was also employed as Head Office Manager for Stowe Chiropractic in Joliet and worked in Maintenance for over 30 years with Plainfield School District #202 and Troy School District #30C, where she retired as Head of Maintenance in 2009.
Linda enjoyed playing games such as Yahtzee, Solitaire and Lawn Jarts and will be remembered as a loving mom, grandma and “dog mom.”
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, 9:00-11:00 AM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Route 59, Plainfield.
A celebration of Linda’s life will follow on Friday, May 26, 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
