Sweet Home Chicago brings cheer to troops By Robin Ambrosia Staff Reporter
State Rep. Patti Bellock of Hinsdale has added an extra week for donating items for the troops as part of the USO’s Sweet Home Chicago care package program. Bellock and some of the local schools have been collecting items for these care packages to show support for our local men and women serving overseas. “It is very important our military personnel know that we appreciate their sacrifice and service,” said Bellock. “Hopefully, when they receive the care packages, they will feel appreciated and know people

Cass Ave., Westmont. Donations can also be dropped off at Fairmont School. The most important donations are the encouraging letters and cards to help lift the spirits of the
soldiers, according to the USO Sweet Home Chicago website. “We need to provide support and encouragement for our troops because they do so much for us,” said Bellock.“This will be our fourth year holding drives for the USO.
