On saturday, October 26, residents and families gathered in downtown Plainfield for the annual spooktacular event. There was trick-or-treating and activities in downtown Plainfield from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. followed by lots of halloween fun at the c.w. Avery yMcA from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Plainfield’s Bridge Builders Toastmasters Club is about to celebrate their 25th anniversary since chartering. Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization designed to help members improve their public speaking, sales presentations and leadership skills. The worldwide organization, which started in 1924, includes over 358,000 members in 143 countries. To mark their charter anniversary, the Plainfield group will host a celebration with refreshments at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at the McDermott office, 14105 S. Route 59.
