Giving Gala raises $114K for local charities Approximately 300 guests attended the black tie affair The Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the Friends for Charitable Giving, a group of community minded volunteers, are pleased to announce that over $114,000 in net proceeds was raised at the 2019 Plainfield Giving Gala. Approximately three hundred guests attended the black tie affair which was held on February 16, 2019 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. In addition to a formal dinner the event included an open bar, silent and live auctions, cash raffle and dancing to a ten piece orchestra. The mission of the Plainfield Giving Gala is to raise funds for charitable causes throughout the Plainfield area. Ron Kazmar, who along with his wife Kathy were the cochairs of the 2019 Giving Gala stated “for our inaugural event we are very pleased SEE GALA PAGE 2
