Your kids may not be as fast as Lightning McQueen, but they’ll have the opportunity to try. Plainfield Central will host the third annual “Meet And A Movie” track event for families starting at 5:45 p.m. July 25. The event is hosted by the cross-country and track teams and $5 admissions will benefit the track program. Admission includes access to all track and field events including the long jump, the high jump, a toddler dash, mini hurdles, 20-, 100and 400-meter dashes and a one-mile run. Following the activities “Cars 3” will play on the video scoreboard. Popcorn will be sold at the concession stand and families are encouraged to bring a blanket and spread out on the field to watch the animated film.
