National Night Out set for August 6 Attractions include live music, bounce houses, meet and greet with Plainfield officers, food drive and more

The Plainfield Police Department invites the community to join them for its National Night Out event on August 6. The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Plainfield Village Hall, 24401 Lockport St.. Some of the attractions include live music, bounce houses, meet and greet with Plainfield officers, food and more. Each time a non-perishable item is donated, residents will get a chance to dunk the Chief of Police or Fire Department in the dunk tank. The aim is to fill a van with non-perishable goods to be donated to Plainfield Interfaith Food Panty. Examples include canned goods, paper goods, and unused personal care products. Community is encouragesd to attend the event to show support to the Plainfield community and those who work to ensure its safety.
