D. 202 high school artists do well at fifth Lewis University art show Three District 202 high school students won the top spots and two more won special recognitions in Lewis University’s fifth annual High School Art Invitational. The five are among 19 District 202 students who competed in the contest. Works from all 19 will be exhibited January at Lewis University through January 14, 2022, in the Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery. The Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery is in the Oremus Fine Arts Center off University Drive North on the Lewis University Romeoville campus, One University Parkway. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., closed on holidays and during spring break. Plainfield East High School senior Adam Jackson won “Best in Show” for the photograph titled Absence. Plainfield High School - Central Campus junior Emily Guardado won First Place for a drawing titled Las Mujeres De Le Mañana. Plainfield North High School senior Scarlette Conners won Second Place for a drawing titled Orchidaceae, The exhibit comprises 36 pieces of artwork in various mediums including mixed media, sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, etching, and digital illustration.
