THREE ARRESTED IN WESTMONT DRUG BUST By Debbie Lively Staff Reporter

After a month-long investigation, the Westmont police made a drug bust last week at a single-family home, charging three men with drug-related activity. Authorities arrested Henry L. Dotson, 42, Cody L. Dotson, 22, and Russell L. Blankenship, 25 in a drug bust at a home at 114 East Chicago Avenue, Westmont. The arrest was made in the early hours of Friday, March 2 by the Westmont Police Department, along with the Felony Investigative Assistance Team (FIAT SWAT). During the bust, police recovered heroin, cannabis, firearms, and various drug paraphernalia. “Our detective division has been investigating this residence for suspected drug activity,� police said in a prepared statement. Henry L. Dotson, of 114 East Chicago Avenue, Westmont, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Cody L. Dotson, also of 114 East Chicago Avenue, Westmont, was charged with possession of a firearm without a firearm owners identification card, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Blankenship, of 173 Shady Lane, Bolingbrook, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. dlively@buglenewspapers.com
