Biology major Jean-Nicole Place won the award for the best research poster at a national convention. “My professor Dr. Schwindinger encouraged me so much and worked with me on a personal level,” says Place. “He taught me how to apply what I learned in his class and translate it to the research I was doing.”

SOLTZ HALL: A new seven-floor, suite-style residence hall opened in August 2017. The building also houses the University Store, two new dining venues, and learning labs.

Athletics Bloomsburg’s intercollegiate athletic teams compete in 19 NCAA Division II and Division I (wrestling) sports and belong to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. In the trophy case: 20 national championship (NCAA, AIAW, NAIA) trophies, more than 100 conference titles and recognition of hundreds of All-Americans in many sports. 10

Accelerated “4+1” programs get you 2 degrees in 5 years

At Bloomsburg University, qualified students can participate in an accelerated bachelor’s to master’s degree program or an early/dual admission program to a master’s degree program.

GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS

The accelerated program* permits qualified BU students with junior standing to take graduate courses and get an early start on the Master’s program. The total number of credits for both the undergraduate and graduate degrees will be reduced by the number of graduated credits used for the undergraduate degree.

Business Education (M.Ed.)

The early/dual admission programs** allows qualified students to enter the graduate program without first earning the bachelor’s degree. Both degrees will be awarded on successful completion of the combined programs. Examples include, but aren’t limited to, the MBA and Master of Science in Instructional Technology programs.
