Adrian Blanc Jr., 71, owner, Blanc & West Lumber Co., Jefferson City, Tn., died Sept. 22 from a heart attack.
A native of Knoxville, Tn., Blanc graduated from Carson-Newman College in 1951. After graduation he joined Blanc & West, which his family had founded in 1935.
James D. Johnson, 52, president, Carolina Pole Division, Cox Wood Preserving, Orangeburg, S.C., died Nov. 16 in Orangeburg.
A native of Troy, Al., Johnson joined Cox Wood Preserving in 1972. He was active on the boards of the Quality Wood Preservers Association and the American Wood Preservers Association.
Donald E. Witlhoite. 67. coowner, Austin Lumber Co., Austin, Tx., died Dec. 5 from heart complications during surgery.
Willhoite's father and grandfather founded the company in 1927 . He took over the business in the early 1950s and continued working until the time of his death.
His daughter, Laura A. Culin, took over day-to-day operations of the business four years ago.
