Milling Complex To Expand

Musser Lumber Sales will invest $3 million over the next three years expanding its main complex in Rural Retreat, Va.

The company will add a retail outlet, additional storage and production facilities, a gas-fired wood kiln, and expand its production line to include value-added mouldings and flooring.

The expansion will permit processing of a greater percentage of green lumber and provide more versatility and control over inventory.

Musser Lumber Sales also operates a dry kiln in Chilhowie, Va.; a concentration and log yard in Kane, Pa., and mills in Coatesville. Pa.. and Memphis, Tn.
