Aubra Anthony, president and c.e.o., Anthony Forest Products, was elected to the board of the newly formed Arkansas Forest & Paper Council. Lynda Anthony was elected to the Southern Forest Products Association board. Chester New has been promoted to general mgr. of Anthony's engineered wood operations, overseeing laminating plants in Washington, Ga., and El Dorado, Ar. Johnny Nolan succeeds him as mgr. of the El Dorado laminating plant. Keith New is now plant superintendent of the El Dorado facility. Chris Webb is Anthony's new engineered wood sales mgr.; Ronnie Britt, dry-end superintendent, Urbana, La.; Mike Little, maintenance superintendent, Urbana, and Jeff Stefani, exJager, a new structural engineer for the Power Building System.

Bob Whitman is retiring as president of Home Depot's Expo Design Centers. Annette Verschuren, president, Home Depot Canada. will serve as interim president of the division.

Stan Collyar has joined the spruce department at The Buying Source, Greer, S.C.

Joseph Haggerty, Williams Lumber Co., Rocky Mount, N.C., was elected president of the Southem Cypress Manufacturers Association.

Robert B. Jordan III, president, Jordan Lumber & Supply, Mount Gilead, N.C., has been appointed to a four-year term on the University of North CarolinaChapel Hill's board of governors.

Jerry Tanner, owner, True Value Hardware. Green Forest, Ar., was named Person of the Year by the local Chamber of Commerce.

Tom Willcutt, co-owner, Specialty Fasteners. Inc., Prairie Grove. Ar.. was named vice chairman of the International Staple, Nail & Tool Association.
