The Sun Lumber Company, of Beverly Hills, (which was the Woods-Beckman Lumber Company until is was sold to Frank Burnaby a few months ago) now occupies handsome new offices right in the corner of the lumber yard, in place of the downtown ofiEces two blocks distant that were formerly used.

There are no handsomer lumber offEces in California than the interior of the Sun offices. They are all done in quartered oak and plate glass, each department being separated

Differential Sought On Lumber Cargoes

Vancouver (B. C.) July 1.-Steamship lines operating out of this port have decided to ask the Intercoastal Steamship Conference for a differential on parcels of lumber less than 100,000 feet.

. Recently companies shipping lumber to New York have been giving the boat officials much worry about these small parcels of lumber and the necessity for having the bills of lading and other documents especially signed on the ship for the delivery of each individual order as earmarked.

On the boat leaving here recently with 1,5@,000 feet of lumber there were seventy-three bills of lading.

There are differentials in styles of lumber going to the Orient and the trade has decided to make similar additional charges for small material moving intercoastal.
