As a contractor, you have a very busy schedule and wish to spend as little time as possible in the office. Perhaps you do the books yourself or pay an assistant to do it. Having no time for training, you somehow muddle through setting up and entering transactions. Your books are not exactly in shape to give an accountant. Are you missing deductions because things aren’t recorded properly? How well are you doing on your jobs? Which jobs are contributing to your profit? How do your estimated costs compare to your actual costs? Are you billing for all your billable time and materials? Who knows? Do these questions sound familiar?
After this training you will be able to create: aReports showing which jobs were the most profitable aReports comparing estimated costs to actual by job in detailed categories of your choosing aReports comparing actual costs by category to revenues billed, allowing you to see where you made and lost money on a job
The great news is QuickBooks® can, if used properly, give you all of this information instantly at a push of a button. It can track your expenses and income, keep your bank balances up to date, track billable time and costs, create estimates and invoices for customers, and most importantly, give you detailed job reports to help you analyze how you are doing. It just takes a little training. Most QuickBooks® training currently available is generic and doesn’t address the specific needs of people in the contracting and construction industry. These trainings are typically long, usually taking 12 to 20 hours to complete as they teach every single aspect of QuickBooks® to you, including a lot of stuff you don’t need. If you can make it through, you still will need additional training to learn how contractors use the program to enter transactions specific to your industry. This is because contractors have very unique transactions and reporting requirements that most other QuickBooks® users don’t have to worry about: tracking retainage and job costing, for example. This product will teach you exactly how to easily set up your QuickBooks® file and enter common construction industry transactions to get clean financials and to create the job reports you have always wanted quickly and easily. You will learn only what contractors need to learn. Nothing more, nothing less. This is a basic and intermediate training on CD specifically for those in the construction industry. Order Now!

Unlimited Annual Contractor Specific Tech Support Need more help? No Problem. Many QuickBooks® users find it very helpful having a tech support number to call with questions as they arise. Most tech support currently available for software is frustrating and expensive. If you’ve ever spent 3 hours on the phone with someone who doesn’t seem to know very much about QuickBooks® and knows even less about contracting type transactions, then you know what I mean. With our Tech Support Agreement, you will be assigned your own QuickBooks® expert who is trained in dealing with construction-specific transactions and the unique job reports you are looking for. No more explaining your business to someone before you even get to the question. This level of expertise allows your expert to anticipate the underlying goals behind your questions and give you better ways of handling transactions to get the results you really want. You will speak to that same person each time you call and that person will be an accountant and will be based in the U.S.!!! Support plans are for a period of one year with an unlimited number of calls. Only $100 annually (with purchase of training on cd)

Treasury, Energy Now Acceptin Applications for Funding for Renewable Energy Projects
The U.S. Department of the Treasury and U.S. Department of Energy announced th are now accepting applications for a progr that will make direct payments in lieu of ta credits to companies that create and place service renewable energy facilities. The tw Departments estimate distributing at least $3 billion in financial support to approxima 5,000 bio-mass, solar, wind, and other typ of renewable energy production facilities. The funding for this effort is made availab through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The Recovery Act authorized Treasury to make direct payments to companies that create and place in service renewable energy facilities beginning January 1, 200 Previously, these companies could file for tax credit to cover a portion of the renewa energy project’s cost; under the new prog applicants would agree to forgo future tax credits in favor of an immediate reimburse ment of a portion of the property expense. The Energy Department will assist Treasu in implementing this program by reviewin the technical merits of the applications.
