Vegetable Garden A vegetable garden is the first step to transforming your health. Once you find a close connection with your food, you will better understand the nutrients you need to keep your body thriving. Plus spending your time outside gives you sunshine, exercise, and encourages a healthy hobby for you and your entire family. Gardening, because of the outdoor connection with the Earth combined with the access to healthy, wholesome food is a proven treatment for depression, anxiety, insomnia, and migraines. Food brings people together in happy ways, and something quite magical happens when the food you eat is the product of your labor. This applies to children as well. A child is more likely to eat a vegetable if the power was given to that child to grow it. Many times a child will not eat a salad, but that same child will pick lettuce and other greens straight out of the garden and have a little snack.
