College Counseling Crier
AP Exams – They’re Happening, They’re Here!!
Advanced Placement testing is well underway! Since the date for seniors to optout of their exams has passed, ALL AP-registered students are required to take their AP exams.
Below is a schedule of the remaining AP Exams for standard testing conditions. The full schedule, including rosters, starting time, and testing locations are posted outside of the College Counseling Office. If you are taking the AP Exams with accommodations, please refer to your emails from Ms. From with details for locations and times. Students must arrive on time, stay for the entire duration of the AP Exam and should plan to bring the following items with them to each Exam:
1. Several #2 pencils with erasers and/or a separate eraser
2. A pen with black or dark blue ink
3. A drink and a snack (for students with extra time, bring a substantial snack or sandwich)
4. A calculator with fresh batteries (for the exams that require a calculator)
5. A watch (with tones turned off. No smartwatches). Some of the rooms have clocks; others do not. Proctors will provide time cues as permitted by the College Board.
Students who are scheduled to take late Exams due to conflicts or absences should continue checking their email for notifications of the respective dates, times, and locations of these Exams.

Seniors, Full Steam Ahead!
With graduation on the horizon, we know that our seniors are looking forward to the rites of passage and traditions that come with graduation. Habitat for Humanity is a few weeks away, followed closely by Senior Supper and the Senior Family Reception and Awards. In the meantime, we encourage our students to finish the year on a high note; admission is contingent upon a successful academic conclusion to your senior year! The college counselors are required to send final transcripts for each senior to their college of choice to show proof of graduation.
Reminders for our Juniors: Recommendation Letters, EssayWriting, and our Summer Workshop!
Earlier this week, juniors were instructed to approach one teacher for a letter of recommendation to be included in college applications. In the coming weeks, those who need to ask a second teacher for a letter of recommendation will be able to do so. Once the teachers have agreed to write the letters of recommendation, the College Counselors will do all follow-up to ensure its completion before the student’s first application deadline.
After our AP Exams, the college counselors will spend two days with each junior-level English class to begin the discussion around the main college essay and supplemental questions. We are excited for the Class of 2024 to begin thinking about the meaningful and creative ways they can express themselves through writing. Unlike other portions of the admissions process,

writing is something our students have full control over; it’s a time and space for students to share their voices.
Finally, this summer, College Counseling will host its most important sessions for the Class of 2024. Throughout the month of August, current juniors will attend a one-on-one scheduled appointment (in-person or virtual) with their college counselor to better understand Bullis School’s college application process, complete the bulk of their Common Application, and navigate some back-end technology work to allow for seamless document submission.
Juniors students should be on the lookout for an email from their college counselor for more details.
Celebrations & Congratulations – We’re in the final stretch!
After an exciting year, our seniors have 562 acceptances to 192 different colleges and universities all over the country and internationally. Waitlist activity could continue throughout the summer. As seniors continue to receive decisions, we ask that they continue to share them with the college counseling team.
Below is a list of colleges, universities, and post-graduate schools where our seniors have earned admission. The list (which begins on the following page) is separated by U.S. regions, as seen on the map, followed by international schools. Later this month, Mr. Sullivan will share our matriculation list; we’ll also highlight it in our June edition of the Crier.
We are so proud of the diverse and robust list of schools, demonstrating our students’ ability to find their right-fit institution.
