Reminders for our Juniors: Recommendation Letters, EssayWriting, and our Summer Workshop!
Before the end of the school year, each of our juniors successfully secured teacher letters of recommendation to accompany their college applications.
Now that the teachers have agreed to write the letters of recommendation, the College Counselors will do all follow-up to ensure its completion before the first application deadline.
In May, the college counselors spent two days with each junior-level English class to begin the discussion around the personal statement (college essay) and supplemental questions. Students are encouraged to share their writing with their counselor, and we are excited for the Class of 2024 to begin thinking about the meaningful and creative ways they can express themselves through writing. Unlike other portions of the admissions process, writing is something our students have full control over; it’s a time and space for students to share their voices.
This August, College Counseling will host its most important sessions for the Class of 2024. Throughout the month of August, current juniors will attend a one-on-one scheduled appointment with their college counselor to better understand Bullis School’s college application process, complete the bulk of their Common Application, and navigate some backend technology work to allow for seamless document submission.

After an exciting year, our seniors have gained 572 acceptances to domestic and international colleges, universities, and post-graduate programs. We are proud of their decisions to attend these institutions and programs.
With an official graduation date of Monday, June 5, the college counselors have sent all final transcripts to the seniors’ school of choice and for those students who have an account with the Eligibility Center, the NCAA.
