Welcome to the 2011 RST collection, we are sure this is the best collection yet from RST and hope you enjoy wearing it as much as we do! The entire RST collection is designed by us at our R&D department in Derbyshire and goes through probably the toughest product development regime in the motorcycle clothing industry! The big difference at RST is that we all ride! From the directors, sales staff, marketing team and to the warehouse manager, we all help in the development of new products, whether it’s on a track day testing the best position for knee sliders or commuting to work in the winter on the M1 testing new waterproof materials and thermal liners, we all provide real world feedback riding in the great British weather!
ANDREW PITT WSB/BSB
RST also works with a great team of experienced professional racers around the world to develop the collection to its maximum potential. Riders like ex MotoGP rider and two times World Supersport champion Andrew Pitt, British superbike championship riders Chris Walker, Karl Harris and Hudson Kennaugh, British supersport championship riders Billy McConnell, Graeme Gowland and Glen Richards. Plus numerous riders in all the other British championships, Australian championships and in Irish road racing. We also work closely with two of the world’s most experienced riders, three times BSB champion Niall Mackenzie and two times BSB champion Jamie Whitham who both do countless miles on all different types of bikes in all weathers around the world in their jobs as journalists. At RST our mission is simple, to provide the safest, highest performance, best fitting and best value products on the market. Our highly experience design team is constantly on the lookout for new and exciting materials and innovations to keep RST ahead of the game. From finding the strongest bonded nylon thread for stitching, the best waterproof membranes or developing our own class leading armour system, RST Contour Plus, the constant push to be number one is never over! Thanks to the original Bioelastan Temper Foam elements in the RST Contour Plus Armour remembering its original form, the armour is designed to remain both stable and supple whether the climate is hot or cold. Other well known brands of soft protectors get harder in cold temperatures and softer in warm temperatures! Nothing is left to chance with each individual protector being anatomically designed to provide the maximum affordable protection married to our famous RST fit and finish.
RST Contour Plus protectors combine comfort and protection due to the unique material BIOELASTAN working in unison with the products anatomically designed contours and strengthened segments. Thanks to the Temper foam elements which remembers its original form, it remains both stable and supple in cold and hot weather. Where other soft protectors get softer or harder depending on the temperature.

It is made from a range of materials chosen for their impact energy-absorption, compatibility with both textile and leather garments, and its incredible consistency across a very wide range of temperatures. Over time, we have evolved our solution to these challenges until we developed a material that correctly addressed all the challenges in the sports protection environment. Most importantly, it absorbs energy very effectively and comfortably passes the stringent EN 1261-series CE homologations. This results in a safe, comfortable protector for both road and racing.
