IT TOOK ONLY EIGHT SECONDS FOR RAM HEAVY DUTY TO BE NAMED MOTOR TREND MAGAZINE’S 2010 TRUCK OF THE YEAR. Those familiar with the rodeo circuit know that Ram trucks have a long history with the sport, both as a sponsor and a fan. From professional cowboys to the families in the grandstands, we’re proud to be associated with Dodge Rodeo and all the fine folks who play as hard as they work.
THE ALL-NEW 2010 RAM HEAVY DUTY PROUD SPONSOR OF
RAMTRUCKS.com
Welcome to Rafter G Rodeo Co.’s Once-In-A -Lifetime Mature Cow Herd Dispersal Sale! The Rafter G Rodeo Company cordially invites you join us in continuing our rodeo tradition. We are selling our entire mature cow herd. We are making some drastic changes in our outfit. We no longer produce the Mesquite Championship Rodeo, so we are reducing our inventory. After fifty-two years at Mesquite, we have seen a lot of changes — some good, some not so good. All in all, it’s been a great ride. We are not getting out of the rodeo business, just changing the way we do things. That’s where our mature cow herd dispersal comes in. We no longer need forty or fifty new bulls to start each year at Mesquite. We’ve worked long and hard, as most of you know, on generating good bucking bulls. Our bulls and our cows are getting better each year. There is quite a mix here, starting with our foundation bull Red Rocker. We kept all of his daughters in the beginning and paired them with some of our top bucking bulls, plus we added a few from some friends of ours through trades and purchases. You can breed a world champion to a world champion and still get a dud. It’s all about the right combination. We by no means have it figured out but we believe we are going in the right direction. We at the Rafter G would be honored for you to participate in carrying on our family tradition. Thanks, Thhan anks ks,,

Rafter G Rodeo REFERENCE SIRES G79 G79 Red Rocker — Red Rocker qualified for the NFR 7 times in the late 80’s and early 90’s. He was retired in 1991, put out to pasture on 15 head of crossbred cows and became the foundation of the Rafter G breeding program. He would be a superstar in today’s bull pen. G21 Dodge Durango — Durango went to the NFR 7 times from 1998 to 2004. He was unridden in 75 consecutive outs as a Dodge bounty bull. Durango was only qualified on 4 times during his years in the PRCA and PBR. He combines power and agility and hands it down to his offspring.
G21
G80 Speck — Speck was an under the radar bull, only went to the NFR 2 times but was never ridden over 3 times in one year. He put some fire into our breeding program. GL10 Dodge Dakota — Dakota went to 4 NFRs and was the first real famous Dodge bounty bull in the early 90’s. He had then the record payoff of $17,500 for Joe Wimberly when he rode him for the Dodge bounty.
G80 GL10 4
Saturday, April 10, 2010
G879
G28 G879 Klassic Rocker — Klassic Rocker only went to 2 NFR’s and PBR’s before an injury took him out of competition. During that time he was used in the TV pen at the NFR and in the short go round at the PBR finals. G28 Crossroads II — Crossroads II is a second generation bull who went to the NFR and PBR finals 5 times. Road Hazard is a multiple NFR bull out of Crossroads II. We didn’t get to breed very many cows to him because he could not live breed well, but a very good percentage of his calves are top notch. G7 Spectacular — Spectacular is a son of Speck who went to the NFR in ‘02, ‘03, and ‘04 and he was probably going to go again in ‘08, but he was tragically injured by other bulls fighting in the pasture. His calves are well built and I think they are going to be outstanding. G64 Johnny Rotten — Johnny Rotten is a son out of Twilight Zone, out of a Red Rocker cow. He was a multiple NFR bull, with outstanding speed and agility. He had an over 90% buck off rate. G928 Ned Pepper — Ned Pepper is a 6 times NFR bull. He has only been ridden about 8 times in his career. He still acts like a 4-year-old at age 11. We have not bucked any of his calves yet but they are made right. Other sires and bloodlines in sale include: Exorcist, Final Count Down, Hedgehog, Dillinger, Helter Skelter, Black Rock, Red Wasp, White Lightning, Copenhagen Lite, Jungle Boogie, Unexspected, Houdini, Bodacious, J.R., Captain Chaos, Super Dave, Bell Rocker, and Pacific Bell.

Own a Piece of Rodeo History! We have decided to offer four of our top bulls for sale as breeding stock. Bell Rocker injured himself while bucking. He has an equilibrium problem and it does not affect his breeding. Jungle Boogie has an injured back leg for about three years. Though we bucked him at Fort Worth, we recommend that he be used as a breeding bull only. Ruff Roads has been injured for about four years, he has a big heart, never quit bucking, tried to do it on three legs. He was a cowboy’s favorite and would have been a multiple NFR qualifier. Panama Kat has never been used as a breeding bull, but he has all the correct bloodlines. All bulls have been fertility tested and are ready to go. G905 Jungle Boogie ABBI # 10048709 Born 1999 — Jungle Boogie is an NFR bull sired by Speck, out of a Red Rocker cow, #18. We bred to him for two years and have not started bucking his calves yet. There are only 3 Speck sons alive. 404 Bell Rocker ABBI # 10090637 Born 2004 — Bell Rocker is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of rodeo history. Bell Rocker is the son of World Champion bucking bull, Pacific Bell (from Western Rodeos, Dan & Linda Russell) and Lady Rocker, a daughter out of Red Rocker (Rafter G Rodeo’s Neal Gay). Lady Rocker is the dam to Diamond S’s Shang HI, Panama Red, and Gigolo. 674 Panama Kat ABBI # 10032277 Born 2004 — Panama Kat was raised by Glen McIlvain. Panama Red, one of the famous trio of Panama Red, Gigolo and Shang Hi, sired Panama Kat. The dam is a Skat Kat daughter. This bull has awesome genetics: Panama Red, Playboy Skoal, Lady Rocker, Skat Kat, Bodacious and Red Rocker. WOW! 015 Ruff Roads ABBI # 10006679 Born 2000 — Ruff Roads is a former NFR bull, sired by G18 Back Roads (an original Crossroads son) the dam was a brindle crossbred cow that wasn’t registered. We bred him for the first time last year.
