There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. - Ecclesiastes 3:3 (NIV)
Westlake Family and Friends, we are at an exciting place in time for Westlake Preparatory Lutheran Academy. We have watched it grow from the first day of 16 students to our present enrollment. We have taken on new adventures in a variety of ways in the classroom as well as extracurricular activities. At this time in our early history, every classroom is occupied, our library is serving as a place for four programs; Music, Spanish, Library, and afterschool care. The gymnasium hallway serves as the booster’s snack bar, a gathering place for receptions, luncheons, and meetings. It is with thankfulness that we realize our God has given us this beautiful building and we are using every part of it.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. - Ecclesiastes 3:3 (NIV) We must look forward and be bold. It is easy to say, “We need a Middle School!” or “Where will we put our next classroom?” However, NOW is the Time! . . . the perfect time to help our school grow in a community that needs us and our message desperately. The new Middle School building will be a great place in which our children will come to learn and develop. It will provide a Science Lab/classroom, a Fine Arts room for Music and Drama, a Resource/Library as well as five classrooms.
Westlake will continue to provide higher levels of learning in Math and Science, as well as Language Arts, Technology, History, Social Studies, Geography, Music, and Art. The Word of God will be shared daily through Bible lessons, prayer, and discussion. Our children will continue to be loved unconditionally and encouraged to be all that our God created them to be. It will be a place where every person will have the opportunity to worship Jesus, our Savior in all that they do. Ecclesiastes 3: 3 links us to God’s activities on Earth. We are at the place in the history of Westlake to make the commitment to the future education of our children and others. It is the time to demonstrate our trust in our God and His plans for the future of His people in West Houston. Westlake is part of God’s mission.
NOW is the Time for you to be a part of the Westlake expansion. Please pray for Westlake on a daily basis, for its success in this new endeavor, and ask God to guide you as you consider how you will support the goal financially. In Jesus,

I believe that Westlake will have many benefits with the middle school building. We will have more space to install lockers, more classes, and teachers. It would help put concentration on middle school teaching and help to grow our community.
SASHA, STUDENT
I have been at Westlake since the opening of the school. We have stayed because everyone is so nice and we love the Christian education. We would benefit from a middle school building because we would have a quieter place to work and learn and give us more room to grow.
Westlake emphasizes... Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM). We also stress Language Arts and the Fine Arts. Additional classrooms are needed to expand these programs.

Westlake has amazing teachers that take the time to challenge our children as individuals and make learning fun for them. Our kids are very excited about the new Middle School building and can’t wait to see the construction start. We are all looking forward to this new chapter for Westlake!

JOHN & ELIZABETH GIBSON
We currently have five grandchildren enrolled and look forward to our sixth grandchild donning the Westlake uniform in the fall of next year. The students of Westlake are being given tools for living that will be a positive influence for years to come. And now, as the school grows to include the Middle School grades, we are thrilled that our grandchildren will be able to maintain the close relationships that have formed with both teachers and students as they continue their academic journey together. The new Middle School is truly an answer to prayer.
DREW & LEZLIE REEVES
We have found in Westlake an environment that not only focuses on top notch academics, but also fosters spiritual growth as well as other aspects of their growth as a child. We look forward to seeing the middle school develop into a place where academic excellence is held high, opportunity for extracurricular activities are abundant while a heart for God continues to be the motivator for all.

Our daughter Giselle has been enrolled at Westlake since her first day of Kindergarten. She’s now in 5th grade and hopes to eventually graduate from high school at Westlake. The Christian education that she receives, as well as the quality of the academic instruction, has far exceeded our expectations thus far and we’re more grateful than you can imagine for the opportunity. Let’s get started with the Middle School!!
I love Westlake and have chosen it as my school because I get to read the Bible and learn about God every day! At Westlake Prep everyone is nice and helpful. Every day I look forward to coming to school to see my teachers and friends. It is the best place to learn about the Holy Spirit and grow in your faith. I cannot wait to be old enough to be in the new middle school building. I am really looking forward to having my own locker there.
MIKE & TINA HERGENRADER
The Christian community at Westlake makes it such a unique and wonderful school. Teachers don’t just teach about God’s love, they model it in the ways they interact with their students. Students are built up and encouraged to do their absolute best. Our family is excited about Westlake’s Middle School. As our kids get older, we’re happy for Westlake’s nurturing, Christ-centered environment. Thanks to the individual attention for each student, I know our kids will excel.

To be a well-rounded child, we believe that children should grow in four different ways: mentally, socially, spiritually and physically. By coming to Westlake, we feel that our grandchildren have the best chance of achieving that goal. When you first consider a school, mental growth seems most important. In that regard, the academic credentials of Westlake are outstanding. What may be less evident are the social, spiritual, and physical growth areas. In these areas, too, Westlake is most impressive. Our grandchildren have grown as individuals at Westlake and we are very happy that they can go to this school. The new Westlake Middle School will continue this growth in a substantial way.

My husband and I chose Westlake Preparatory Academy for our children because it is very important to us that a firm Christian, as well academic, foundation be established in them. Our children’s futures are one of the main priorities for our family. The building of Westlake’s middle school will allow my children the opportunity to continue on the path of success that they have started at Westlake Preparatory Academy.

When I first started at Westlake I thought it was all about the uniform. Man, I was so wrong. The people at Westlake make me feel like I have a family and a home away from home. Their teaching rocks! The extra-curricular activities are awesome, like volleyball, soccer, girls and boys basketball, track and music lessons. I love Westlake because of the teachers, learning, and friends. Every morning I look forward to going to school to spend time with my Westlake family, uniform and all.
SEAN & CONNIE SURCOUF
We love this school! We sincerely hope that we will be able to continue in this learning environment throughout middle school and high school. In our opinion, there is no comparative alternative in this community. Every day, we appreciate the opportunity to partner with Westlake in our boys learning and life journey.

TEACHERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT OUR SCHOOL?
ANDREW STRUCKMEYER A new middle school building will help to build a strong middle school community. That is extremely vital in the creation of strong Christian leaders, and students who excel both in and out of the classroom. It will help me to better provide my students with the top-notch education that we strive to provide at Westlake. Students will have access to a dedicated science lab, spaces for music and art, and will have a place they can call their own. This will give students the opportunity to learn amazing things and explore their creative sides. Middle school students will feel like they have a true home, and that will only aid in the development of our students. The great atmosphere that this creates will benefit our students in the classroom, in the community, and on the athletic fields. When you have a great middle school, everyone benefits.
REBECA GIBSON I thank God for giving me the opportunity to teach in a loving environment where the students are encouraged to express and learn about their faith. I love teaching young children and wish them to have a strong relationship with their Lord and God. The Westlake Middle School is an opportunity to expand that influence into the community raising up Godly leaders who will change the world.
ASHLEY SANABRIA In our ever growing and changing society, being a preteen is more difficult than ever. In a loving, Christian environment, the preteens of Westlake Prep are given the filter of the Gospel to analyze and differentiate the messages of this world and find the godly path intended for their lives. Through a rigorous curriculum and a state of the art environment in our new middle school building, our students will have all of the tools necessary to succeed not only in middle school, but create the foundation for a successful academic and professional future.
