At Boston University School of Management, we didn’t get to be a century old by playing it safe. Longevity is hard-won by forerunners who create unexpected new paths forward. Our proud history includes being one of the very first to admit women, and establishing an MBA in 1925. The School was an early founder of research institutes and one of the nation’s very first to institute specific curricula addressing nonprofit and health care management. We created the Center for Team Learning and the first MS•MBA, a high tech dual-degree that merges technology with today’s business needs. We taught entrepreneurial studies before it had a formal name. So while we will enjoy celebrating our first 100 years in September of 2013, we’ll also keep our sights trained on the future. There are just too many paths waiting to be discovered in the next century.
