The Bunnik Way | Our small group tours
The Bunnik Way
Travelling the Bunnik Way means touring in a small group made up of like-minded people. People who want to connect with the places and cultures they visit. People who share a love and passion for this incredible planet and its inhabitants.
With you in mind, our itineraries include a balance between:
all the famous landmarks that you rightly expect to see on tour unique local experiences that only small groups can access plenty of time for independent exploration and discovery.
We believe there is no better way to create lifelong memories and really get to the heart of all that a destination has to offer!
Being a responsible tourist
Bunnik Tours firmly believes that tourism can create understanding between cultures and generate economic and social benefits in the places we visit.
Our small tour groups are lowimpact and don’t ruin the very places we go to see. We build in free time to help spread economic benefits and design itineraries to avoid over-tourism where possible.
Environmental Responsibility
We are focussed on reducing our environmental footprint with initiatives in place within some of our most popular destinations in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia.
The Bunnik Travel Group Charity Program
The Bunnik Travel Group is committed to giving back to the communities we visit. For each booking received we make a donation to the following organisations which do a tremendous job helping the less fortunate. Over the years we have raised and donated more than $100,000 through this program. The charities supported include the Sri Lanka Community Projects, Tanzeed, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Walk to Cure Diabetes program, Bali Kids / Carry for Kids and the Fred Hollows Foundation.
Our small group tours
We create small group tours to the world’s finest destinations.
Explore all the key sites. Delve into destinations with experiences that we’ve specifically designed to connect you to a place and its people. Sample local delicacies. And make lasting friendships along the way. All in a group that never exceeds 12 to 20 travellers.
That small group size makes a big difference to your touring experience. It really is the best way to connect with the world’s cultures, history and people.

Small group touring, is it for you?
So, you’ve heard of the term small group touring but what are the benefits and why should you choose to travel in a small group? From sharing dinner with local families, visiting destinations off the tourist track, to creating lifelong friendships, we uncover why small group touring is for every traveller.
You don’t just see your destination, you really connect with it
Travelling in a small group size gives much more freedom when it comes to exploring a destination. Put simply, you don’t just stop by all the main sights of a destination and then pile back onto a crowded bus. Whilst you still tick off all the bucket list items a destination has to offer, you also have the luxury of experiencing things that are off the tourist track. It’s these moments that allow you to connect with the people and culture of a destination, all while still exploring the key sites.
You create lasting friendships with fellow travellers
A small group size of 12 – 20 travellers means you really get to know the people you’re travelling with. Before you arrive on the first day of your small group tour, you already have something in common with your fellow travellers – your love of travel and eagerness to explore and connect with your chosen destination. Enjoy the company of like-minded travellers throughout your tour, creating connections along the way - memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
You gain a greater insight from your small group tour guide
Tour guides are a crucial part of your small group tour. Each guide has detailed knowledge of a specific destination to share with you throughout your tour. A small group size gives everyone ample opportunity to talk with the guide and gain insider knowledge throughout the tour.
You get better views with spare seats on all our vehicles
Many group tours will continue selling until the bus is full. This can mean all 49 seats are taken which leaves fewer chances to access window seats. We keep spare seats on our vehicles so that even if our tour is full with 20 people there are still plenty of seats to choose from and greater access to the views - no matter what side of the bus you happen to be on.
