Since 1925, Father Ryan students have been building a tradition of Faith, Knowledge, Service.

What if we told you what you do for your high school is just as important as what your high school will do for you?

Every student who has ever attended Father Ryan has given life to the ninedecade-long tradition of this school. Our students’ presence and the ideas formulated here have built a school that is like no other in the Nashville area, one committed to the values of Faith, Knowledge, and Service. But those values would be empty without the students who fulfill them. That is why, above all, we’re committed to our students. At Father Ryan you will be known; you will be loved.

With 26 AP courses to choose from, five distinct course levels, and a history of academic excellence which boasts more than 150 National Merit honorees since 2000, Father Ryan has the experience and tools to help you achieve academic success at the highest level. As much as you are willing to learn, we at Father Ryan are willing to teach (and perhaps learn a thing or two from you as well).

Service is one of our core values, and Father Ryan students treat it as such— how else could you explain our nation’s best Relay for Life event each year, or Special Olympics, which sees hundreds of young athletes and hundreds of Father Ryan students flock to our campus each year for a day of fun, service and competition? Whether it is a service trip to Guatemala or an act of service at the downtown Room In The Inn, opportunities to serve are all around us—just let Christ the Teacher be your guide.

Become a citizen of the world, whether through studying world cultures in the classroom or journeying to China, France, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, or any other of a dozen countries where Father Ryan students are known to trek. Education is not only workbooks and test questions; it is experiencing first-hand the wonders beyond your front door.

At Father Ryan, the students discover new things every day. Ideas in the classroom, certainly.

But also new things about

themselves, perhaps exploring something they have always wanted to try, or something they never knew existed, until now. Maybe it is a new sport or an interest in international politics. It could be the discovery that their feet and bodies can move amazingly through dance or that writing is a delight. That is why students come to Father Ryan—to pursue their interests and uncover new ones.

So what will you do with your time at Father Ryan? For every student, the high school years are formative, but that doesn’t mean you will be the only one changed by your experiences here. We want you to change us too—add to our more than 90 year legacy of Faith, Knowledge and Service in new and exciting ways. Now is your time.
