'Study for ‘Worn out’: a newly discovered Van Gogh drawing' by Teio Meedendorp.
Among Vincent van Gogh’s best-known drawings is a depiction of an elderly working man with his head in his hands, made in The Hague in November
1882, titled ‘Worn out’. The discovery in a private collection of a study for the drawing provides important new information about the artist’s approach to the subject, which was to culminate in his lithograph ‘At eternity’s gate’.
