The Graduate Tax Program, established in 1959 as one of America’s first graduate tax programs, continues to be one of the best and most rigorous programs in the nation, celebrated for its expansive curriculum and experienced faculty of real-world practitioners. •
Curriculum consists of five required courses and more than 35 challenging electives, offering students a balance between tax-law theory and practical application.

Optional concentrations are available in General Business Taxation, International Tax, Estate Planning, and Financial Services.
The LL.M. in American Law Program integrates foreign-trained lawyers into the J.D. classroom, where they experience an American-style legal education, sit side-by-side with J.D. students, and learn first-hand from America’s top teaching faculty. •
Students develop individualized study plans from 150+ course offerings, covering virtually any area of U.S. law, with optional concentrations available in International Business Practice and Intellectual Property, Tax Concentration.
The Graduate Program in Banking and Financial Law, the first and only program of its kind in the U.S., prepares lawyers for work with public and private clients in the new global financial markets. The distinguished faculty includes experienced practitioners from financial institutions, law firms, government regulatory agencies, and multilateral organizations as well as Fellows of Boston University’s Center for Finance, Law and Policy. •
Curriculum is devoted exclusively to banking and financial services law topics, covering the regulatory, transactional, and businessoriented aspects of this dynamic industry.

Optional concentrations are available in American Banking and Financial Law, Compliance Management, Financial Services Transactions, International Banking and Financial Law, Lending and Credit Transactions, and Securities Transactions.
The Executive LL.M. in International Business Law Program offers a flexible design that is ideal for international and domestic lawyers who seek comprehensive training in cross-border transactions but cannot attend a traditional nine-month program. •
Intensive two-week Boston residency sessions, taught by BU Law’s regular faculty, focus on the key doctrines raised in cross-border deals.

Sessions may be completed in as little as one six-week summer session or can be distributed over one year or several years, with the remainder of the program online in your home country.
