Rail links The East Coast Main Line is one of Europe’s most important rail routes, linking the capitals of England (London) and Scotland (Edinburgh) and passing directly through our region. Doncaster to London by train is just over 88 minutes away with over 64 trains a day and planned line improvements by Network Rail will reduce journey times further. The Frenchgate Shopping Centre is the hub of the transport interchange, the UK’s 2nd largest facility of its type, combining both rail and bus facilities. Freight rail corridors in the East of the region link the Humber ports complex to the two inland container terminals at Doncaster railport, which currently handle 37,000 deep sea containers a year. The new iPort intermodal rail freight facility will also play a significant role as a distribution hub. Doncaster is a major station on the UK’s high-speed, north-south main line Excellent connectivity to all major UK cities & Europe Over 108 trains a day pass through Doncaster daily
“ Choosing Doncaster will enable the company to establish key contacts with the numerous rail and engineering businesses already based in Doncaster and Yorkshire. This clustering effect was an important factor when deciding to base our UK operations in the town”. Carl Garrud- Managing Director Rhomberg Sersa
