Starting as an apprentice electrician, Ryan McCune has grown a successful and established electrical services business in Prolec

“For domestic clients we offer services ranging from new build re-wires and fuse board installation, to repairs, maintenance, inspection and testing,” explained Ryan, “we also undertake security projects, such as CCTV and security system installation as well as security lighting”.

Increasingly popular, Prolec can also fit electric car charging outlets for both domestic and commercial clients.

“Our commercial projects cover fire alarm inspections and data systems, as well as installation and design of electrics and lighting. Important for our commercial clients is economic energy saving lighting, which we are, of course, experienced in,” said Ryan.

For its industrial clients, Prolec regularly fits safety solutions such as high bay lighting systems, emergency stops, magnetic door stops, and fire alarm & emergency lighting installation and design.

The foundation supports some of the most disadvantaged and disabled people across Norfolk.

As well as implementing lighting for Norwich City Football Club’s 27,000 seater stadium, Carrow Road, Prolec have also partnered with the Royal Norfolk Golf Club.

Since its establishment, Prolec has seen impressive growth. “Initially I took on my colleague Louis, after six months of working as a two-man-band we grew to four. Two years later we grew to 15 and now we have a team of 30, with the capacity to support clients nationwide in the UK,” said Ryan.
