PORTFOLIO MARISA LIUZZI
I was born in Acquaviva delle Fonti in 1983, I graduated in Art History in 2008 at the University of Lecce with full marks and I continued my studies in the artistic field in Florence at Palazzo Spinelli. In 2009 I started my first artistic craftsmanship project, of which I followed all the phases (design, construction, promotion and sale). Bussola creazioni is a project in which different techniques converge in a mix of traditional and modern. The main production lines were: jewelery and textile accessories through the use of traditional Japanese kimonos fabrics; tatebanko (three-dimensional pictures developed in various levels completely in paper that refer to the Japanese tradition of the Edo period). This project evolved in 2018 in Liuma where drawing and illustration prevail, and techniques such as engraving on linoleum and rubber and printing on different supports (paper, fabric) predominate. In 2013 I took care of the merchandising for the Japan Now exhibition dedicated to the affiliates of the “Factory Murakaniana” and which was hosted in Martano (LE). I have participated in trade fairs (such as the 2014 and 2015 editions of the Maker Faire European Edition in Rome). One of my works was selected for the 2015 Ridefinire il Gioello competition - V edition (http://www. ridefinireilgioiello.com/) organized by Circuiti dinamici as well as for the 2015 Arts & Crafts Design Award competition (http: // www.acd-award. com/). For the latter, I received the Certificate of Excellence. One of my linocuts was also selected for the collective exhibition that was held in Japan for the Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition in October 2017. I have several participations in collective and personal exhibitions with artistic prints with traditional intaglio techniques ( linocut). At the same time I work as a graphic designer on behalf of associations, organizations and individuals with the creation of logos and promotional material.
