"The so-called destined fanaticism means that someone is destined to have the enthusiasm for something at all costs." - Xu Fangyi "I was afraid that you would be artist or designer in the future." This is what my parents say when I asked why did not let me learn more about drawing or go to art shool when I was a child. But if this is the so-called ordained path of my life, I will still be back on this road. I think the being a design is just my destiny.

Emotional Day "When the words are translated into emotions, every day is no longer just day after day."
We live in a huge amount of information flow of the social network, when the text into a dialogue tool, the text of the mood will be different. Emotional Day utilizes IBM Watson and the Twitter API's timely cloud computing library to allow visitors to select date and instantly capture text clips from different dates, transform them into emotion- al quantitative data and visualize them through IBM Watson text mood analysis , Through the color changes, particle visual effects and movement patterns show different emotional days.
8
9
How does it works?
First, enter a date message, then the twitter API will collect all the messages from the day and analyze the information through IBM Watson for language sentiment analysis. The resulting emotional information is divided into seven stages and transformed into visual representations through different colors, motion patterns, and frequencies.
7 categories of emotions.
IBN Watson will put the amount of text into seven emotional information. Are respectively Anger, Fear, Joy, Sadness, Analytical, Confident and Tentative. And convert these seven kinds of information into percentage information.
10
Visual Partical Sea System
Use matrix and repetitive generation to generate particle sea, creating different color blending and motion patterns.I simply create 3 variables: a particle system, an array of our particles and a number responsible for resolution of our sea. Then set a maximum particle count to seaResolution squared. In the last two instructions I spawn the desired amount of particles and assign them to an array.

Witness or our little stability This is an installation art that attempts to decompose the sound. Through the "little stable" script, we try to break down the tone and position of different voices, use multiple people to simultaneously conduct script readings, and create a dialogue between two people through lighting devices. The two ball of light represent different speakers, sometimes bright and dim, which continuously conveys the connection between sound and emotion.

Under the Water, We Shout. This is a cross-disciplinary performance of the National Chiao Tung Universit y and the Depar tment of Dance Studies of the National Taiwan University of the Arts. It uses a combination of visual images and instant interaction mechanisms to dance. It is very experimental and bold to try different media.
The theme is "Under the Water, We Shout." Try to show that dancers can't express words in the water, can only use body movements to scream, helplessness in the water and loneliness, bringing viewers into the immersive experience.

The biggest attempt of this performance is to use a floating projection screen. There is also a layer of floating projection between the performer and the viewer, so that the visual image is somewhere in between, but it does not affect the connection between the two, so that the viewer there are more different experience.

Typeface Celebration This is a set of posters designed for the typeface, using only the typeface itself, without using other extra elements, using the typeface to show its beauty. I use two different ways to show the different beauty of the Didot typeface, one that shows the vertical beauty, the line that connects all the letters, and the other that shows the soft beauty. Many people talk about Didot, which is associated with his modern style, but The soft lines of the velvet also contain a lot of beauty.

Quote Poster Challehge Use objective & sublective ways to design.
This is my work when I participated in the Scholarship Program for Oversea Study in Art&Design competition. Ever yone will draw a famous quote from the professor, and we need to design a poster separately from subjective and objective perspectives. This is a big challenge. From an objective perspective, we need to get rid of our own perceptions. From a subjective perspective, we need to bring in a lot of our own emotions. This is a very interesting challenge.
40
41
I EITHER WIN OR LEARN. “ I NEVER LOSE. I EITHER WIN OR LEARN. - Nelson Mandela
The objective ways to design.
From the perspective of objective design, I started with simple words. I split the whole quote into two parts. The first half is more negative and the second half is more positive. Therefore, I hide the first half in the second half, expressing the latter as the most important content. I also use different colors to distinguish between two different emotions.
42
“ I NEVER LOSE. I EITHER WIN OR LEARN. - Nelson Mandela
The sublective ways to design.
From a subjective perspective, I use actual examples to express it. In the picture, a little boy fell off the bicycle, and then grew up to become a famous racer, trying to use the emotional subjective picture to convey the meaning of famous words. The choice of fonts uses handwriting style to express the emotions that are spoken by people, and I still choose two different contrasts to express emotions.

Movie Poster Redesign Seediq Bale Warriors of the Rainbow
This is my work when I participated in the Scholarship Program for Oversea Study in Art&Design competition. The theme is to redesign the film posters of Seediq Bale Warriors of the Rainbow, but not using traditional character avatars and actual scenes to design, can only be expressed using abstract patterns.
44
45
Different Warriors of Rainbow.
Many people talk about Seediq Bale who think of heroic male fighters, but the most impressive piece of me is the picture of female collective suicide. They chose to commit suicide to complete the wish of the ancestors. They did not go forward to face the enemy, but chose to sacrifice their own lives to go to the other end of the rainbow. This behavior is another heroic warrior.

Unleash the instinct of music, the most primitive and pure love.
She blends the most primitive sound of the violin with the rhythmic electro-acoustic elements, flowing between classical and electronic, which makes the hearing addictive. Connie was once embarrassed and confused on the road of music. Until now she found herself back, she was more brave enough to be herself, and her rebellious voice was completely liberated. She, after quenching, has become her own queen in music.

Datung Wanhua Workshop Imagination is the fourth dimension of the city.
Datong District and Wanhua District of Taipei City have always been the cultural gathering places of Taipei City. However, with the development of the Eastern District, the overall Western District has gradually declined. Therefore, we hope to lead local residents , experts and scholars to discuss the future of Datong Wanhua through a large-scale vision workshop. With planning.
The main vision uses the combination of two dislocated triangles to create a nonexistent three-dimensional space. It is also intended to express that "imagining" is the fourth dimension of urban development. The main visual poster conveys plans for wishing to come out through various hands that are drawing patterns, and uses the pictures and direction of different images to convey the multifaceted concepts of activities.

Portfolio Motion Type This is the work done at the National Chiao Tung University in the Motion Type Workshop. Line Dot
Elements of the Logotype.
I took two simple and clear elements of the logotype as a key image to do the motion graphic, the line and the dot. Line and dot also be the basic element of graphic design.I am trying to apply the principles of graphic design to this work.
Exemple of the Moving Form.
I tried to design different ways of moving, divided into points and lines, using different characteristics of the two and the principles of graphic design.
76
Storyboards.
Preserve specific points and lines during the rotation and drop other points and lines to create a sense of direction in space. And use the rotation of different directions to increase the fun of the picture.

ECHO Introduce A Classmate This is an attempt to introduce a classmate in class with a simple picture. We don't know each other before class, so in this project, we need to constantly ask each other questions and understand each other as much as possible, turning what we imagine into a film. Finally, the classmates who be introduced will comment on whether they are similar to themselves.
81
The way to introduce.
First of all, I asked a lot of personal questions and tried to disassemble each other's interests and personality. This is a very difficult process because we don't fully understand each other.
In the end, I found that we actually combined the fragments we know into our imagination. Just like IKEA combined all the parts into one piece of furniture, I used the style of the IKEA manual to design and add the classmate's interest and personality to the picture.

Background
As an international student in NYC there are lot of things to deal with. I found it would be very difficult to use the machine that is totally different from my hometown. (such as the laundry machine) At first time, it takes around 2 hours to figure out the function of the laundry machine and my clothes still being wet. Each machine is unfamiliar to the newcomer in NYC.
User Journey
A user journey is a timeline of user actions that describes the relationship between your brand and its customers. It's a visualization all of a user's interactions with your product, from their point of view. User journey mapping creates a timeline of all touchpoints between a customer and your organization, including all channels they happen in.
88
Mental Model
Mental models are how we understand the world. Not only do they shape what we think and how we understand but they shape the connections and opportunities that we see. Mental models are how we simplify complexity, why we consider some things more relevant than others, and how we reason.
A mental model is simply a representation of how something works. We cannot keep all of the details of the world in our brains, so we use models to simplify the complex into understandable and organizable chunks.

Open HCI Wokshop This activity hopes to promote HCI as the main purpose, recruit students from engineering and design backgrounds, learn together and conduct cross-disciplinary cooperation, and explore patterns of interaction with the surrounding environment, objects or tools in the human living space. For a six-day workshop, participants are expected to use this concept to understand the interaction gaps or issues in their daily experience, to actually solve problems or create new meanings, and to explore a more harmonious vision of human-computer interaction.
95
What is HCI ?
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a ver y ac tive cros s- disciplinar y school in recent years. Compared to other specialized fields, HCI's unique composite features make its creation process require a high degree of crossdisciplinary cooperation. The focus of the research is not only on the subject of technology, but also on the humancentered perspective to create a better user experience.
Our Topic.
In modern society, we have replaced communication software with actual language conversations, but in communication software we sometimes often hide real emotions behind the text. Our true emotions and words are not the same, so we have the difference between words and reality. But is this difference important? The text is actually a protective cover that protects us from exposing real emotions and allows us to stay safely in the comfort zone, so we try to use the art of installation to express this state.
96
Our Works.
Our device allows the experiencer to do the same thing in order to express real emotions. For example, in order to express emoji "Orz", it must kneel down in front of the device. This result will make the user feel embarrassed, and also use this trick to let the experiencer feel the importance of the comfort zone.
