Begin

Hello

Future Bulldog!

I’m excited about your interest in the College of Communication (CCOM) at Butler University. Our CCOM community feels fortunate to call this lively Indianapolis campus home, primarily because of amazing and driven students like you. The opportunity to help steward the launch of so many impactful and unique journeys is a responsibility, honor, and privilege we do not take lightly. The Butler CCOM faculty and staff are dedicated to nurturing, informing, and inspiring students toward success in a well-rounded life and a fulfilling work world—whichever professional path, or paths, you choose to follow. From video production to journalism, speech pathology to public relations, and advocacy to advertising, we help guide students to find their passion and begin their story. Experiencing the evolution of students from a place of wide-eyed, first-year fascination to the confidence of a seasoned senior is magical. Watching each future professional earn their walk across the graduation stage into a fulfilling career is why we do what we do, and you’ll see it on display every single day at Butler. The world surrounding campus is also critical to how successful our students are. The professional playground of a top 25 media market like Indianapolis allows experiential learning to help you flourish. And that’s not counting our “study away” programs in Los Angeles and Chicago, or the opportunities you’ll have for international travel and a variety of study abroad opportunities. Those options fit in our majors, minors, curricular flexibility, and co-curricular experiences that make CCOM at Butler a great option for you. I look forward to meeting you and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions. If you would like to immerse yourself in the Butler Way and meet faculty and students here at Butler, please let us know. You’ll learn for yourself why you’d be a proud Bulldog!
