Care
In the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS), we recognize that healthcare is much more than simply treating disease. And, as such, we teach students to think bigger.
Through hands-on learning in the classroom, collaborative research with faculty, and clinical experiences with some of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations, we equip students with the knowledge—and skills—to improve health outcomes.
Whether you graduate as a pharmacist, nurse, PA, phrameceutical scientist, healthcare executive, or something else, you’ll be prepared to improve the quality of life of the patients and community you serve. Learn more at butler.edu/cophs.
NEW MAJOR–NURSING
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program offers an innovative curriculum that merges academic knowledge with practical skills.
You’ll benefit from clinical exposure in hospital systems as early as your first year. In addition, you’ll work in state-of-the-art simulation labs and participate in a 1:1 preceptorship paired with an elective course of your choosing in either cardiology, medical surgical, or perioperative studies.
The Nursing program offers direct admission, which means students are automatically enrolled in the program starting their first year, with no need for additional applications or other admission requirements.
“COPHS combines personal attention with experiential learning, providing an environment where risks can be taken in a safe space. COPHS also takes a committed approach to its curriculum. I have a newfound appreciation for what a quality, patient-centered healthcare system entails, thanks to courses such as Intro to Healthcare, Healthcare Systems and Policy, and Healthcare Quality. ”
