Our graduates in Human Movement and Health Science Education teach physical and health education in K–12 schools. They also work in sports organizations, healthcare, corporate wellness programs, and other fitnessrelated fields. LD
As an HMHSE student, you’ll complete a wide range of courses—from playing and coaching individual sports to dance and fitness—and receive focused attention from experienced faculty. Your field and clinical experiences will prepare you for work with children and adults in academic, health, and workplace settings. Our graduates are highly sought after by schools and fitness- and health-related organizations.

What we offer: • Strong background in the principles of teaching young and adult learners • More than 300 hours of clinical internships and/or student teaching with Indianapolis schools and community partners • Preparation for a variety of professional certifications and graduate school programs • Study toward a teaching license in physical/health education and for school-based instruction
