COLLEGE of LIBERAL ARTS and SCIENCES
In the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, we offer students an array of perspectives to help them think for themselves. You can explore rain forests in Panama or literature in Spain, present your research at national conferences, or intern with businesses, government, and non-profits in Indianapolis and Washington, DC. We help you take your knowledge beyond the classroom and into the world.
Butler’s International Studies program combines a core curriculum with interdisciplinary freedom that cuts across traditional barriers, as well as hands-on experience, to allow students the chance to steer their degree in any direction they please.

In lieu of traditional International Relations studies, Butler’s International Studies program supplements a political science component with the study of economics and culture. Students’ choices of interdisciplinary courses can be adapted as they please to cultivate a degree that pursues a deeper understanding of the world as a whole.
